DaCostaBR: Wow, nearly 60 pages of this. Well this is...depressing.

I just wish that nowadays not everything was this massive battle for the fate of the world, where you either agree with everything we say or you are literally the devil.

tinyE: Oh come on, you're only saying that because you're wrong and it bothers you that you are going to hell because of it. :D
You said I'm wrong! How dare you try to censor me unbeliever?!
Saw some gameplay and the game looks like a blast, nowhere near as brutal as the initial and carefully orchestrated trailer. Seems the devs may have trolled GOG as well as the upstanding SJWs.

Yeah, it looks really fun. Level destruction, brutality, car theft, CRASH THE PARTY!, explosives, etc. Gonna be fun.

I'm just worried that maybe GOG denied it because it's so light on content that it's not worth the price.
Okay, this is straight-up badass. ;-)

Given how all other open-world games work, I was 99% sure that car trick would not work.

Hatred may set a new standard for destruction in game (at least indie) environments.

I'm very disappointed GOG.com has decided to act as my moral arbiter and decide that their values should dictate which games I have available to purchase here.

If that is the case then I would stand with GOG. I don't like overpricing even a little.

That's a distinct possibility, I must admit. Maybe the game should be a 5-10 dollar title. And maybe GOG reps wouldn't feel right commenting on that before release.

Form History Control.

Dalswyn: I wouldn't be so sure. DotEmu still occasionally pulls out nice tricks. After all, they've been in business since 2007.

Fesin: I honestly don't understand it. how are they making money?
Their website is just the tip of the iceberg. Most of their money comes from contract works from game companies to adapt older games on modern devices (phones and tablets mainly). Last Express, Raiden, R-Type, Metal Slug, Another World, etc. Even one of my small local company did the mobile port of Afterburner Climax for Sega

EDIT: and to give some more objective facts, I dug out their 2013 financial reports so the key numbers:
Gross revenue: 864.900 €
Profits: 57.500 €
Equivalent of full-time employees : 11

Biased source.
They already stated in the past that the game "shouldn't exist".

Anyway, anyone able to explain me why GOG sells Carmageddon?

A game about mowing down innocent race cars and getting points for it

Doesn't sound that offensive to me, anyway.

I'm going to hazard a guess: because they chose to do so :)

Edit. That there are games here like Carmageddon and Postal which are considered controversial really does suggest that there are other reasons. At best, it's irrelevant to bring up, otherwise IMO it tends to suggest the opposite argument, that censorship is unlikely as the reason.
