Like toxicTom, it's safe to say that I also am 'built close to water'. Or have bad allergies.

Yeah, allergies.

Bastion kinda got me in the feels. Not misty-eyed or anything, but I felt bad for the spunky little guy. That's the only one that comes to mind, as far as sadness goes.

There have been some breathtaking moments, though, where you get hit in the emotional soft-spot in the other direction. Maybe one of those "I can't believe you can do this is a game" moments, or "I never knew games could look and play this good." That came a few times back in the day, and I think Wing Commander was one of those.
Yeap. A couple of times though will only share the most recent one.

fault - milestone one.

Has a forum thread every made you cry?

I cried at this exchange right here, when the villain's mean spirited outburst is met with hope-filled optimism by the quirky yet relateable, annoying yet adorable heroine.

lol, crying for a game.

No, no game has ever made me cry. I suppose a game did make me sad once when I was playing the original Prey. I had to find my girlfriend, and when I did the Aliens had turned her into some monster that I had to fight and finally kill.

That was sad.

If you want some interesting variations on that, i suggest (the different endings of) VtM: Redemption.

no, that's creepy. STAHP.

I find it ironic how much opposition popped up to my satirical reply, yet fairfox's threads appear to be largely downvoted on sight.

Yeah, that's kinda sad. Fairfox has been posting like that for years now and nobody took offence, it was seen as rather quirky and unique, even funny. And suddenly for the last few month people start picking on her. Beats me :-(
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons.
And Valiant Hearts.

And a few others for sure. Those two were the more recent ones I can remember...

Particularly sad since nearly all of her threads are talking - in her odd fashion, anyway - about games and PCs. Isn't that why we're here?

Do you drink manly-type beer, or "light" beer? ;p
