You've been (very) naughty. Time to be nice!

We've conquered Europe, slaughtered countless soldiers that were silly enough to stand in our way, and razed enemy settlements to the ground. Now it's time to leave these well-meaning activities behind for a moment and let the spirit of Christmas warm our bloodthirsty hearts.

As it happens, 17th century Santa just dropped us a neat gift for the occasion. Let's see what treats are inside:

- A new mission: Santa's reindeer are in peril and you're the only one who can rescue them and put Christmas back on track.
- Look out for christmas trees in your map and for peasants holding holiday-colored bags. Cute!
- The main menu, UI, and some in-game tweaks give the game a more festive and snowy ambiance to put you right in the mood.

If you haven't yet tried Cossacks 3, now is the best time to give it a whirl. Not only do the holidays provide enough time to establish your rule over Europe but they've brought some nice surprises with them as well!

adaliabooks: Wow... lighten up guys, it's some free silly extras for Christmas...

Who shat under your trees? :/
This is GOG... this is normal. We HAVE to find the negative in everything, to hell with it being some cool free extra content, no this is a serious historical game we can't have that. Face meet palm.

I totally agree with other posters here...Cossacks is a serious game...this update is crap and I hope they will give a way to just ignore it...

So are you saying then that our opinion is to be discarded because its not the same as yours?

Lemon_Curry: So what happens to all of that after Christmas?

Anamon: At the risk of pushing the whole collector and completionist thing a bit far, that was my initial reaction too :D
Will there be a way of triggering these after Christmas, or will they be patched out again?
I believe it's a more than fair question. After all, we are talking about an update for a DRM-free game available here not an idle Clicker Cossacks game at Kongregate.

Christmas is over. So what happened to the update. Is the content still accessible or do new players have to wait a whole year to try it?
