ZFR: There was no year 0.

Here is a task. April has 30 days, which is exactly 3 x 10. How would you divide April into "deca-days" (what's the term?)

I: 1 to 10
II: 11 to 20
III: 21 to 30

See the pattern?
You're overthinking this, I think. ;)
-----------------------------------------------------------

(Also TheDudeLebowski's link has this and more to say:

Any period of ten years is a "decade", and there is no "official" legal nor administrative start or end point, so it can be any arbitrary span of ten years. For example, (1) 'the first decade' of a person's life begins on their birthday; (2) the statement that "during his last decade, Mozart explored chromatic harmony to a degree rare at the time" merely refers to the last ten years of Mozart's life without regard to which calendar years are encompassed.

There are two main methods of counting decades in recognition. One, called ordinal, counts decades starting with the first year 1 CE [For example, the years 1981–1990 is referred to as the 199th decade or the 9th decade of the 20th century], while the other, called cardinal, groups years based on having the same digits [For example, the years 1980–1989 is referred to as the 1980s, or commonly known as the eighties].

The frequently used method to refer to decades is the cardinal method, which groups years based on their shared tens digit, such as the nineteen-sixties [1960s] referring to the period from 1960 to 1969.)

Happy New Year!

And thanks to GoG for Tower of Time. Which I assume is a non-fiction game that will teach me about the nature and structure of time.
Happy HEALTHY New Year to all!

Oh nice - I love thyme! I'll be excited to learn more.

Sadly, we ran out and the local store isn't open on the holiday, so I had to make my omelet without it this a.m.

You should've come to my house....I have plenty of that but no parsley(I have sage and rosemary though).
