I don't know how many people are aware of this, but famous scientist Isaac Newton was, according to the calender in use in England at the time (the Julian calendar), born on this date in 1642.
So, perhaps we could celebrate his 374th birthday today. (Or, one could argue that he doesn't turn 374 until January 4, which is his birthday in the modern Gregorian calendar, and that his birthday should be celebrated then.)
