Happy Holidays from the GOG.com team!
The holiday season is here. The world, in all its little shopping frenzies and chaotic reunions, seems to slow down just a little. It slows to taste the crisp winter air, to be childishly entranced by all the lights and colors.

As for us, we're going to celebrate with a little something special.
With a new free game in our catalog: Bio Menace, something of a mix between the smooth and joyous gameplay of Commander Keen, and the alien weirdness of the original Duke Nukem platformers. The spacey 2D shooter by 3D Realms is now part of our selection of free, truly worth playing, classics.

With a Happy Holiday Sale from GOG.com & Bethesda:
Have a holly, jolly discount. It's the best time of the year. We don't know if there will be snow, but have a cup of deal. It's up to 75% off the entire Bethesda catalog on GOG.com - including the three and only classic Fallout games, as well as some of the best shooters in history: the retro Wolfenstein 3D & Return to Castle duo, The Ultimate DOOM, DOOM II & Final DOOM alongside the Quake series (from the singleplayer gory of Quake + Quake II, through the timeless mutliplayer mayhem of Quake III). Finally, there's the chance to explore the history of The Elder Scrolls with classics like Morrowind, Battlespire, and Redguard.

As always, any purchase from the Bethesda catalog on GOG.com comes with a free copy of The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls Chapter II: Daggerfall!

Looking for last-minute gifts? There ya' go.
The sale will last until December 29, 4:59 AM GMT.

Have a happy holiday season!

tfishell: I assume the staff are too busy to answer, but is the reason the OST isn't included with Bio Menace because of legal reasons? It's probably amongst the files but having it handy as a bonus would be nice.
got my post swallowed.
I do think it's legal reasons, Bobby Prince seems to retain the rights to his music outside of the games' use. Your best bet is to go here:

Grargar: Can anybody who has Quake 3 here confirm if this has been addressed yet?
Yes, I've got serial keys for Quake III in my library.

SCPM: Yes, I've got serial keys for Quake III in my library.
I presume two serial keys (one for the base game and one for Team Arena), correct?
Hm, I`m tempted to buy Morrowind now and also Fallout 2. But I`m not sure about Fallout 2. Has it the same random encounters with extremely overpowered enemies like the first one?

Yes there are some really hard random encounters (especially early on) but you can always run away. Experience may differ from player to player but the ones I've encountered were rather rare.
I think it's better than the first one (mostly because there's no time limit) and definately worth buying.
Thanks for the free game, GOG! Also happy to finally have the second batch of Bethesda releases down to a price I'm willing to buy them for.
As tempting as this sale is, the fact that some of these titles are region restricted puts a damper on my desire to purchase them. I understand that GOG and even Bethesda aren't at fault in this matter, but all the same, I'm hesitant to purchase them. Unfortunately, a purchase doesn't come with a disclaimer, so such an action would end up being viewed as tactic approval of further region restrictions on future titles.

I guess, for the time being, I'll just settle on buying Morrowind.
high rated
Just got this last week in the Anthology. :) Thanks for adding it to the GOG catalog!

They aren't random, who they are depends on where you go.
Thanks for the free game gog and 3D Realms. It made me remember how unforgiving these old platformers were.

Hm, I guess I should get Doom and Quake now when they aren't in one of those forced bundles.
