Happy Holidays from the GOG.com team!
The holiday season is here. The world, in all its little shopping frenzies and chaotic reunions, seems to slow down just a little. It slows to taste the crisp winter air, to be childishly entranced by all the lights and colors.

As for us, we're going to celebrate with a little something special.
With a new free game in our catalog: Bio Menace, something of a mix between the smooth and joyous gameplay of Commander Keen, and the alien weirdness of the original Duke Nukem platformers. The spacey 2D shooter by 3D Realms is now part of our selection of free, truly worth playing, classics.

With a Happy Holiday Sale from GOG.com & Bethesda:
Have a holly, jolly discount. It's the best time of the year. We don't know if there will be snow, but have a cup of deal. It's up to 75% off the entire Bethesda catalog on GOG.com - including the three and only classic Fallout games, as well as some of the best shooters in history: the retro Wolfenstein 3D & Return to Castle duo, The Ultimate DOOM, DOOM II & Final DOOM alongside the Quake series (from the singleplayer gory of Quake + Quake II, through the timeless mutliplayer mayhem of Quake III). Finally, there's the chance to explore the history of The Elder Scrolls with classics like Morrowind, Battlespire, and Redguard.

As always, any purchase from the Bethesda catalog on GOG.com comes with a free copy of The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls Chapter II: Daggerfall!

Looking for last-minute gifts? There ya' go.
The sale will last until December 29, 4:59 AM GMT.

Have a happy holiday season!

htown1980: Its just that they were released towards the end of my video playing games so I really don't know much about them...
There's a fair amount of information and opinions on them in the Elder Scrolls series forum. The majority of the more recent threads are about Morrowind, though (or else people's technical problems with Redguard and Battlespire), so you might have to sift back through a couple forum pages to find more than a couple useful topics.

Azhdar: I guess you're a Fallout 3 fan. Am I wrong? :))

Maxvorstadt: Never played Fallout 3, but New Vegas. I played Fallout 1 in the nineties and it was no fun for me.
Fallout 3 was such a great game. I remember I was skeptical before I played it—especially when I read that it was basically a turn-based FPS game when VATS is enabled.

But once I exited the vault and ventured into the Wasteland, I was hooked. It was truly amazing how much could be done in that 2008 game. One could spend hours simply by exploring all of D.C. and the underground metros!

I keep hoping GOG will get Fallout 3 someday. Right now it has over 7,800 votes!
thanks for bio menance. used to spend hours on the shareware version of duke nukem 2D, never beat it though.

Heh. I just don't even understand what that person wanted: does he want GOG to sell a tech demo of a game that never made it out of development?

IronArcturus: Yeah, I really wish GOG would merge those wishes together. There are a lot of games with multiple duplicate entries for some reason.
"For some reason" = "because people are too stupid to search for a game and just create a brand-new wish instead".
And there is a mechanism to report a wish as a duplicate of another, but I've never bothered to go back later and check whether any of the wishes I've reported as duplicates were ever removed or combined.

Yeah, I've clicked that "Report Duplicate" button many times, but all of the duplicates are still there.
Come on, Bethesda. Release Fallout 3 GOTY for Christmas.

HunchBluntley: Taken together, "curious" and "hm" are an anagram for "music hour". What could it mean?!
Ah, must be when the squirrel sings and the guns blaze at midnight.

Voted for both FO3 & FONV. Hope to see them on GOG 2016.
