Up to 90% off this bag full of tasty scares: Outlast, Clive Barker's Undying, Oxenfree, SOMA, Fran Bow, and more!

You are listening to a song that sounds like your grandma playing ping-pong with a gentleman stag. Suddenly, a distant noise of something breaking - or perhaps it's just the neighbor chopping down your favorite tree. But you live in the desert. It's all very confusing and disorienting until you check the calendar and realise it's almost Halloween! Time to put on your spooky face and go search the neighborhood for some scary good games going for up to 90% off. Time to go through The Scary Door.

Everyone you know is out here trick or treating, dressed up as something cool like the kids in Costume Quest. Be careful which houses you visit, though. Better avoid disturbing the disturbed Cat Lady downstairs, for starters. And that Last Door at the end of the road? It's strangely inviting, despite its ancient looks, but what are these eerie sounds coming from inside? Should you happen upon a wandering girl with a bag full of weird red candy, be so kind and help her find her cat. Poor Fran Bow has already been through enough.
This is one of these nights where your friends might try to drag you to some remote island with an abandoned military facility for some midnight mischief. If you want to feel Oxenfree for a while, feel free to join them, but better check if any of your buddies is possessed first, or you might end up stuck in a ghostly loop. Then again, you might not even make it there, not if you need to cross a Sunless Sea ruled by terrible Gods and odd creatures. Ah yes, this is definitely going to be a night to remember. Unless you decide to force some merciful Amnesia upon yourself, trying to dispel your Personal Nightmares. But why would you do that?

Enter The Scary Door and treat yourself to 30+ games that will give you the heebie-jeebies, including: SOMA, Clive Barker's Undying, Layers of Fear, Outlast, and so many others!
The promo will last until November 3, 3:59 AM UTC.
Well, that is a nice surprise after my (very) recent failure to get the Deadly Premonition from Humble Bundle to work. And just as I said yesterday that it's a bit too expensive to get on GOG it gets 90% off :D Ok then, I guess fate wants me to play it after all. I wasn't planning on buying anything right now, but this was just too much of a happy coincidence to pass up on.

Nice Halloween Promo, and more than a couple of titles from my wishlist, but the tax man has been on my arse these past few months, so have to refrain. Good thing I have a more than decent backlog!
I've just realized that Forgotten Realms and Dungeons&Dragons packages are lost for now :(

From Halloween Promo the only good old game is probably Sanitarium. Or, at least, the only one I would probably buy and check.
I recommend Clive Barker's Undying and Blood

Sadly the horror genre is dominated by adventures...

Magnificent promo, full of fortunately already owned jewels, and a couple of wishlisted no-brainers.

But then, brainer. The ever annoying question of Superhot. Nice to see it discounted, but still... looks so expensive compared to its gimmick. A lovely gimmick indeed, but still, does it make this game worth the price of some so much larger, apparently richer ones ? Or do i underestimate that game ?
Oh, come on! No one did that obvious joke about missing horror games yet? Okay, I believe then it's my turn: How can this be a real horror promo without Master of Orion 3 and Simon the Sorcerer 3? ;-)

Everytime I see Waxworks and Personal Nightmare on sale I'm thinking about to get them, but then I remember that's very unlikely to see the other Elvira games here. I never played one of them, but I was always curious about the Elvira games. Would be great to see them altogether here.

You should... Sanitarium is one of the best games ever.
Do yourself a favor and buy STASIS. I can't describe how much fun I had when I played it. "Fun" I said? "Terror" I meant.. Goosebumps all over the place. Moments that I won't ever forget; it's that good!

From a technical point of view, it's pretty much flawless: great graphics (classic isometric view) & superb sound effects that lead to a great atmosphere, simple but very good gameplay and puzzles that aren't too difficult especially for folks that don't have much experience with adventure games (like me for example).

There are some scare jumps here & there but they don't feel cheap because they aren't overused throughout the game. Also, you can die. Horribly. Can't say much about this, it's a horror game after all. ;)

If you enjoyed sci-fi movie classics like the Alien series, sci-fi game classics like System Shock series and isometric horror adventure games like Sanitarium, you owe it to yourself to play this masterpiece. 10/10
If someone here has finished Deadly Premonition, could you take a look at this issue I'm having?

I'm looking at getting Outlast and Clive Barker's Undying. Has anyone here played them? Personally I can highly recommend the Alan Wake-games, Blood, and Deadly Premonition (when it works properly).

I wholeheartedly second this.

In the past perhaps. Now I'd say horror adventures are a minority.
Oh well, that is a weekend promo my wallet is not scared of at all. But nice theme :-)

Yes. Undying is really lovely. I was a bit disappointed when i first played it, when it came out, because i expected some horror adventure exploration game. It's a fairly linear shooter. But it is gorgeous, imaginative, and will stick with you years afterwards. It has one of the coolest, most lastingly haunting atmosphere I remember from a game in any genre. And i'm still not sure what exactly this is due to.

Undying is one of the scariest games i played, especially back then when it was released. Great gameplay & very good story, definitely recommended! ;)
