A new update for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

With this update we’re introducing 21 new cards - mainly neutral golds, as well as game fixes and balance changes. Additionally, we are introducing our second holiday event Saovine: Holiday of the Dead for which you’ll be able to unlock a new avatar, border, and title!

The following cards will have increased value for milling for 3 days following the release of the patch (more on this below):
-Harpy
-Restore

The cards on the list, when milled, will create an amount of scraps and powder equal to the amount of scraps and powder needed to craft a card of the same value.
R.I.P Harpy

argailwall: From a first check this looks like the older Skellige Card Backs problem, it happens when you set graphics quality to low, I changed to Medium and no more white cards

Lyphian92: that worked, thanks. and thanks to Jusad aswell
Try restarting GWENT? ;)
Not exactly what I expected, with so much talk about a new faction, and Anna Henrietta with Detlaff as new leaders (Toussaint?)

Anyway, I am very happy to see that what worked before works even now, unlike many previous updates that brought significant changes to many cards functionalities... Nerf to Restoration is not such a big tragedy, of course, Skelligers can't boost "their" Dorregaray this way (while they still can do this with Gremist, which is always fine too), but, at least, Aglais can't misuse the Restoration anymore :-)

What I strongly hope to see is a change to the matchmaking system and FAIRER MATCHUPS. Fairer point rewards, so that one loss won't take your 10 victories away (most of all on higher ranks)... This needs to be done first, not constant ridiculous +/- 1 base strength "ballancing". If I see this, if I see a game that will start rewarding effort and not punishing it, I will be a happy man. Let's see...

:D RIP harpy spammers, I'd say, while harpy itself has still a good use :-)

In the first challenge from the new event, when I deploy Germain, he does not heal my palisade, he just replace the archers and scythemen.
Thank you :)
It is working now :D sorry

Yet another impossible to beat event, thanks for wasting my time with useless impossible to beat single player bullshit. If this is any indicator of how all the single player Gwent options will be then I really am going to just replay Witcher 3 for the rest of my days to play Real Gwent instead of this farce of impossible to beat pay to win bullocks.

The first 5 challenges have little to no RNG involved, so they can be reliably solved. The 6th challenge does depend a bit on the hand you draw, but you should still be able to solve it, though it may take a few tries.
And the previous event did not have any RNG involved, so the same plays would always solve all challenges.
