With GWENT update 0.8.37, our main goal was to address a set of important issues that have recently come to light, including the use of Mardroeme to get an auto-win after not choosing a target for the Mutagen card. This was not how we intended for the card to work and was something that required our immediate attention, because of the effect it was having on ranked play.

Other issues that have been addressed in update 0.8.37 include server errors caused by killing Morkvarg on 2 Strength and playing 3 Reinforced Ballistas and Redanian Elites. These actions should no longer cause the game to desynchronize.
Good, now do something about the over-powered Northern Realms.
Good, now do something about the over-powered Skellige.
Good, now do something about the over-powered Monsters
Good, now do something about the over-powered Scoia'tael
Good, now do something about the over-powered Nilfgaard
(Sorry, I couldn't resist)
Lmao. Well played.
I guess we all have one we are weak against.

Hahah, I didn't expect that.

To be honest, for me it's all about Mardroeme, traps, resurrection thing and Kayran card. The first and the last one may be indeed overpowered, as for the rest - those are both annoying features but still they are a part of the game. So you can fight them, counter them, or just make a tactic against them.

Can't wait for the real patch & Nilfgaard tho.
I was just playing along. Though Monsters got some annoying additions lately, like resurecting from the opponents graveyard, which hammered my skelligans last time, but I think Scoiatel wss even more OP last time. Those buffed dwarfs are almost impossible to stop. Except with maybe weather which I rarely use.

Funny, I've tried the Scoiatel dwarf deck and found it the least powerful of their deck options. My current favourite is the highly under rated ambush / trap deck, though I haven't been playing much. It's not always the best, but when you get it just right it's a lot of fun.

The Caretaker (or whatever he's called) is quite a nasty, I've lost a few games to him stealing an awesome card from my graveyard and using it against me.

I got absolutely dismantled by one of those trap decks.

Your username looks a little familiar.. It wasn't me was it?
Then again I haven't played for about a week at least.

Fireball traps plus blue mountain commandos (and wardancers being powered up by them) are pretty awesome. It's very psychological as well as the opponent has to weigh up sacrificing a card or not. Especially fun when the trap is actually Ciaran and wouldn't do any damage anyway :)

I haven't played the last couple of weeks, but my last match agaisnt Scoiatel was something like this: Mahakam Defenders + lots of buff = 3 units with varying strength over 30, so scorch is near useless, and since they stick around, even if you win the first round, byebye for the next two.
Good, now do something about the over-powered Monsters.

Yeah, the Defenders can be annoying but there are counters (weather is usually what gets me when I try something like that)
