GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is coming out of beta and launching on PC on October 23rd, via GOG.com.

Announced back in April, Homecoming introduces significant changes to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, fleshing out elements which made the original Gwent from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt a community favorite. The update also incorporates gamer feedback developers have been receiving throughout the game’s Public Beta.

Among others, Homecoming includes a complete rework of the game’s board into a fully three-dimensional battlefield featuring two distinct rows, a redesign of the game’s visuals now in sync with the dark and gritty feel of the world of The Witcher, a new deck building experience, as well as new card mechanics.

Still I have no idea whats happening to my cards during Homecoming. iirc correctly I can keep the old version of cards or mill them for creating new. I spent over 200 euro on cards, there's no way I'm going to mill multiple cards that became useless after updates to craft 1 similar v2.0 card.

Trying to get additional info in Gwent forum results in having your post removed by the ahole moderator. How about you making clear what's going on in Gwent progress. It would save lots of people posting questions.

If it was possible I'd refund every cent I put into Gwent. It's worse than a failed Steam EA, how stupid I've been to trust you. Haven't bought a GoG game in months, I'm done. GoG is dead to me. Long live Steam, embrace me DRM.

You sunk 200 euros into a free-to-play game which you knew was in beta. It was your choice, there's no need to attack GoG.

As far as i know, all your cards will be Auto-Milled for full value (preminum cards mill into scraps only, Ex: premium gold = 1600 scraps) which mean a card of your choice (same rarity) when HC go online.

P/s: Money come and go, man! you can't jus ask for a refund, there is always a risk in online games especially the beta ones.

You're part of the reason these freemium games thrive. Don't expect quality if you're willing to throw your money into unfinished products on good faith. Especially if the return value is just digital cards and not much of a gaming experience.

The real Gwent homecoming for me is starting up The Witcher and playing cards with NPCs.

Look, it's ok to spend money on a game just because you want to support it. At least CDPR is trying to be legit and honest.

As for your question, as other said, all card will be milled and we'll be given their full value to start crafting when HC starts. My advise would be, do the challenges first and then wait to see how the META evolves before crafting anything. Give a day or two, watch YT'ers/Streamers and so on to see what fits your style more and then craft a deck that is competitive but more importantly fits your style of play.

As far as I know you'll get full refund for every card you mill, so don't worry.
XD 200 Euros? Well its your choice id say.. but spending this much on an online card game.. i trust you have enough for yourself still if you can afford this much... Personally i feel glad about gog changing something about this gwent version

I'd like to say Thank You to the devs for all the effort they're putting in this game, game that gave me hundreds of hours of fun and i haven't spent one cent for :)
Awesome! So excited to see what they have been working so hard on!

You will keep kegs, dust and ore. Cards will be automatically milled for full value. You should open kegs just before homecoming it.
