That was too easy apparently. But I'm just not stuck in so many games right now. :-)
Or I've played this game (pun intended) and can recognize it immediately ;)

My turn so...

I came to build a better future. But alas, after some time I have no one to build this better future for. So I have to... wait, WHAT?! Announce that few chosen people don't have to pay me but I'll take their child?! WTF?! I didn't know I was such a monster! And if I want to get this kid earlier I should... WHAT?! Give them a better bed?! Yeah, sure, I do understand that with a nice bed you may want to... erhm... use it a little bit more often and not for resting purposes but how can it speed up pregnancy?!

Nope. I believe you can't give your people better beds in Banished (and I mean it literally) nor they have to pay you (again, very literally) :D

Ah ok :D I took better beds as in giving them stone homes instead of wooden ones^^

Nope again so I'll add something more:

I've learnt that a fence is the most important thing. If you have a fence everybody knows that this property is yours. If you allow anybody take down your fence the property will be his. Simple and efficient.

True, but nobody is paying a Witcher before he takes a child ;) In a sense Witchers can be providers of better beds - let's say by donating basilisk's skin to make a nice cover but again - I mean it very literally with those beds ;)

I guess this will be more of a "bump the thread" than actual bull's eye but I'll give it a shot (or two).

Dwarf Fortress or A Game of Dwarves.
Yeah, it's more like a bump, but I'll add a hint!

As I said, I came to build a better future! But obviously I need some resources! I'll start by creating wooden buildings. After some time I'll add some cement. Surely not everybody would like to live concrete houses but I'll offer them bricks! Finally, I would like to build huge things so I'll need some steel to reinforce the structure.

That's an additional hint, look at the other parts of my description. I don't think "child for payment", "better beds for faster procreation" etc. fits for Terraria ;)

EDIT: and I thought it would be easy... ;) Apparently a lot of people have heard about the game but never played it and so they don't know the details... and believe me - you only need to play this game for half an hour or so to encounter everything I mentioned thus far (without more advanced resources, but the first two - for sure)

No, no and no. I'm really surprised that it's so difficult, the game is definitely not a masterpiece but I thought it was somewhat known...

Let's try something else: my foreman's been killed and my building is lost. Why, oh why?! I thought that my competition wanted to build a better future too but obviously they are focused on destroying mine. What have I done to deserve that?!
