Sanjuro: "For the last time"? Aw, so much for thinking I was done with it.

There's a game I'm actually playing right now and it's... weird. You spend your days walking around the forest looking for something (someone?) and when the night comes you are the one hiding, running and doing your best not to be found. The worst part? You are defenceless and you can't actually harm those who come for you at night.

Well, it was funded through Kickstarter, so yep, it's an indie game.
The source of light is a candlestick with a never-burning-out candle. You have it from the start and hold it in your hand at all times (or nearly so).

There isn't much of a description of the world, but I don't think it's post-apocalyptic, rather a world of the protagonist's mind. You might call the game survival, I guess, but the description page says it's "Action - Adventure - Horror".

Shoot better then! Why, that was enough to make a dog laugh. Go to the shooting range, have some practice and when you're ready, come back to have another go at Duck Hunt. :-)

Could it be a 2D platformer?

Was this game officially released, or are you playing a demo (or not final release)?

How does your character fight the enemies (weapon)?

It's not an indie game.

It's not 2D.

It was oficially released (between 10 and 15 years ago).

My character uses daggers.
