Your description had me remembering the same feeling I had when I saw the screenshots on release.
With that memory I knew what the game looked like, I just had to find the name that goes with the screenshots.

Yes, it was easy for me because I completed that game along with DLC last year. Mentioning of cards and gun-wielding bloodthirsty characters gave it away.

OK, people try to guess the next game in a row.
It's not on GOG, but available on Steam. It was released several years ago, but was updated with advanced version for free to all owners just last year.
I was killed by my arch nemesis' forces, or was it my comrades. My best friend, my pupil, my mate, he tried to warn me, to stop me from fulfilling my vengeance against that bastard! But I was too stubborn to listen to him. Now I'm a dead man back to life by unknown force. There is a woman right here, she told me what happened, she even helped me to regain my powers (and I can do some new tricks as well) and now nothing will stop me, not even my friend. I will kill him! I will kill anyone who will try to stop me even.

Seeing no one has tried to answer, I guess new hints would be helpful.

I can launch a projectile, it's kind of a shockwave which is faster than speed of sound, but initial projectile is less slow, there are 3 types I can thrust (very slow, slow, a bit faster). I taught this technique to my best friend and sparring partner when I was alive. My arch nemesis operates a big army like organization, his main goal is to dominate the world. Not his first attempt. I was able to reach him and defeat in duel battle however my powers suddenly were all lost, I'm going to leave this world. Only the one true hero can continue my battle and I know he can finish the job, though I don't like his projectiles. He is not my best friend, but I respect his fighting art. And it's not his first time saving the world either. Too bad I'm dead for good, because I was so cool, but who cares.
