While making my way searching for this human city within the chasm and fighting a bunch of enemies I met a girl. She took me to the city. What a lucky strike!
Or was it? As I said they need my help, in fact they need me to make the dangerous travel to an outpost they have lost contact with and get the tram running before they can help me. At least I will keep a look out for my crew in the way
New hint: when I said that the game's area is underwater some may think it means you spend the game swimming. That is incorrect: as far as gameplay is concerned the area is perfectly solid terrain. You jump, you run, you walk through several rooms that don't have a single water drop on it. I don't remember ever swimming in this game.

Other hint: this game is on Gog and its subtitle was already hinted at

Next hint: In this world we have angels fighting demons... and all of them are your enemies! Rather than a good versus evil setting, it's more like two brands of evil battling to decide what goddess will rule the world. And it is humanity who bears the collateral damage.

So you fight a lot of enemies from both armies. And if that wasn't enough you also fight some sort of feral creatures that are just as dangerous.

Sorry I forgot to check this thread. I would have guessed it much earlier. Anyway...

That is indeed the correct answer. Your turn now
We have already accomplished our main goal, now it's time to get back to our ship. Sadly, we have no provisions left and it starts to bother some members of my crew. Fortunately there is a little village and it's almost on the way so we should definitely go there first. Locals are a bit upset with me but I do have a few trinkets to calm them down. They should allow us to rest and then we can trade more trinkets for some meat which will allow us to reach the ship.

Yeah, that was a perfect plan, wasn't it? Well, apparently not. We are on the outskirts of the village, I can almost smell some cooked meat but James has snapped and... wait, what?! Has he just eaten a nun?!

I vaguely recall you saying you enjoyed Renowned Explorers in some sale thread a while ago. It is not among my favorite genres but I remember your post almost convinced me to buy.
TCE indeed looks interesting. I might indulge my curiosity eventually, but the problem is just that I get tired of failing spectacularly.

Well, new challenge. A very easy one.

I hair-whipped my way past several enemies, but now I'll have to dive in this flooded cave to reach the next area. If only I was some underwater creature... oh wait, I can become a crab.

Hair-whipping? That must be Shantae...
I'd bet Shantae: half genie hero ultimate edition

I said it was gonna be easy :)
Go ahead and bring us a new mystery.
Another easy one...

I broke into a pawn shop at night. Not only did I steal lots of valuable stuff, but also the means to carry all my loot.
But just as I come out, I hear a loud voice: Vengeance!!
It's not the shopkeeper, but I should get out of the streets and rush into some inn before he gets me.
