ZFR: Based on a movie or TV series?
Yeah, I was going to ask if it's Star Wars or Star Trek.

thiagovscoelho: Is the game listed on MobyGames?

I'm looking on MobyGames now. Is it Flying Saucer? Evil Core: The Fallen Cities? Hexen II? Sentinel Returns? ? [url=http://www.mobygames.com/game/starsiege]StarSiege?
I think we'd better have a limit of one question or guess per turn or the game is going to become a bit easy ;)

Okay, I admit brute-forcing it might ruin the game

samwisegamgees: Two Worlds 2?
avatar
toxicTom: Yes. Two Worlds 2: Pirates of the Flying Fortress to be exact (the place where I got stuck). I'm not really sure how to differenciate expansions and DLC. In pre-DLC days this would have been a regular expansion sold in stores - I'm in about 20 hours into it and feel I'm nearing the end, but it may well take another couple of hours. The term DLC is (for me) somewhat poisoned by this horse armor thing Bethesda pulled off.

In Two Worlds heavy amor prevents you from using bows, in part one you even drown trying to swim in it. I thought this would be the most obvious hint, but if nobody here ever played these games...

The place where I got stuck where "the cartographer's archives". I still think it's a bug that I can't shoot the secret switch with the Oculus thing (flying eye with magic missile).

Anycase: Samwise's turn it is!
Check out the TW2 fan forums, they patched a lot of stuff! There's a link to them in the GOG specific subforum. I haven't played the TW series yet but I saw one video, so I knew the characters can drown in heavy armor but I thought you meant the addon is separately available on GOG. How do you like the game? I'm planning on getting either one or both games but I heard some say I should only play the first or the second one, depending on which 'camp' they were in.

I've written down some impressions here (TW 1+2) and here (PotFF). HTH :-)

Well, the five games on MobyGames I didn't ask about were Star Wars and Star Trek games, of course all with Glide API.
So it has to be one of these:

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy
Star Trek: The Next Generation - Klingon Honor Guard
Star Wars: Force Commander
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D
Star Wars: X-Wing Collector Series

That narrows it down well for you guys. Sorry for ruining it!
I thought it might be Star Trek after the comment about the 'lore', but since I haven't played a ST shooter game I'll leave it up to you to guess it. :) They look good though, it'd be really nice if GOG brought them over!

Interestingly, the 'lore' comment also made me think that while Star Trek would fit, not everyone knows ST, unless you had all us pinned for traditional old-school geeks, being here on GOG and all. ;)

Cool!

Klingon Honor Guard I'd say.

EDIT: Ninjad by Green Hilltop. I too thought about this after the lore comment, hence my question about tv series/movie.

Yeah,It's Klingon Honor Guard - you were the first to say it, I think?
Your go?
(confused about the comment about being ninja'd)
That ninja referred to the fact that I posted almost exactly what he did about the 'lore' reminding him of star trek, then after I did I saw he posted that just a second before me.

If it's my go, then here is the next puzzle. It's short, so go ahead and ask for hints.

Help, I'm stuck on that part where you do the chess game battle. It's just too difficult for me. Any tips on how to beat it?

Is it Star Wars Chess?
Is it an actual dedicated chess computer game or a game with a section in which you have to play a game of chess?

No

Neither really. It's a game with a section where you play something that resembles a game of chess (basically it comes down to this: you fight chess pieces)

EDIT: I meant to make this very clear from the beginning, but I see that it wasn't. I edited my original post. You can ask another question samwisegamgees.

It's by the way not a trick question like Green Hilltop's "Tetris" one. It's not a chess simulator or anything similar. Just a normal fairly known game, where one of the battles is a chess arena.

Baldur's Gate, Durlag's Tower?
