It's been almost a month, so I'm starting a new one.

This game is one of my favourite games and it's really fun, I recommend everyone to try it out.

I'm standing in a room that looks like a wonderful temple with a pool and a statue with praying hands at the back of it in front of me, and I have to get to the statue somehow. Hmmm...how do I solve this puzzle? I am provided with a riddle by the statue that should help me solve this.
Why do you need to get to the statue?
That's a good question!

I hope I haveven't confused it with another area in that location, however you need to get there because getting to the statue will allow you to get further in where you are by solving another puzzle.

I'm in a cave and I have to use my powers to turn water puddles into ice pillars in order to be able to go through it, as it'll create handy platforms to jump over! The exit is on a raised plateau, however the space between it and the other raised side of the cave to which I can get to is too big, so making the pillar(s) will allow me to get across easily.

Got it! It's Shadowgate (either the original one or the HD remake), ain't it?

Nope!

But you're right, Shadowgate does have this sort of a puzzle, I remember seeing it. But the game I'm thinking of is different because SG doesn't have the pool and statue puzzle.

Next hint: In many places you are attacked by monsters but it's really fun and easy (if you're good and clever) to fight them and you regain your magic points while you walk around, so you can use copious amounts of magic! (and it's necessary for the puzzles too!).

You can read people's minds in the game, later on. It's really fun and reveals interesting things!

Admittedly, it's more like an underground lake than a pool, and instead of a statue it's a skeleton, but I was thinking of this particular screen in Shadowgate (see attached screenshot).

I think I know this one!

It's Golden Sun right? You definitely have the water freezing power and while I can't remember anything specific about a statue it sounds like something that would happen in Golden Sun. Plus I seem to remember getting mind reading as a power at some point too.

Yep, you're right! It's such a fun game, I recommend playing it to anyone who hasn't played it. You can even play it on almost device via a GBA emulator and it's on Wii U marketplace too, I think.

The pool and statue puzzle I hinted at is in the Venus lighthouse but there are several statue puzzles in both lighthouses, I think.

People don't recommend GS: DD as much though because the combat is very easy in that one and it's just not the same, however it's still one of the best, if not the best traditional (ie. TWEWY doesn't count) RPG for the DS.

Yay!
Yeah, they are good games. Very different. I seem to remember they left the plot open in the DS one for another sequel but I'm not sure whether we're likely to see it or not...

I'll try and think of a game later, but I don't mind if someone else wants to take my turn instead as I may forget..

You can trust me that probably won't happen since this thread was inactive for a month until I revived it again, and for the past few months it was mostly straggling, sometimes it had a lot participats and sometimes it was just me and one other person.

So it's unlikely someone will jump in and take over your turn, so you can take as much time as you like! It would be great though if people jumped in and made this a buzzing thread full of people again.
This post has been wiped due to upset clamoring from the audience. Instead, I will leave a corny joke:
Never play cards with a pirate. He's always standing on the deck.

Actually, no.

You don't deserve this turn because this thread was dead here for a month, and for a self-proclaimed Puzzlemaster who even participated in before it went inactive, you never once tried to make it come back or guess at my puzzle which was here for four days and unless I'm mistaked I've seen you around here during that time several times.

If you were any other GOGer it'd be fine, but for someone who jumps at every puzzle/guess thread this really is just win-stealing, like saying "Hey, I love puzzles!" and then ignoring a puzzle thread including its recent re-awakening, and coming back just to take someone's newly won turn. And although Adalia did say someone else can take his turn, he also said he will try to think up of a game, so since not even a day passed since he guessed the game (half a day passed since his post, to be exact) it's very rude of you to try and take over his rightfully earned turn.

So unless Adaliabooks personally allows you to take over for him, I am anulling and ignoring your takeover, because given how slow the responses in this thread were for the past few days and months, it's really not fair not to give him more time to think up of a new game.

If he does, I will fully respect it, but I personally hope he'll post something himself. And you can have yours if you manage to win.

Edit: And in this situation it was very rude of you to call me a sucker. I actually anticipated you might jump in, but I was hoping you wouldn't and you'd let Adalia have his turn or wait at least a day and a half.

Whoa, whoa, calm down! The thread got buried, and by the time I saw that you'd posted anything, adalia beat me to the answer, so there was no point in me guessing. I could've tried to boost activity, but I was waiting for Naszrador. If you'll check the threads, I've actually been actively participating in other, similar game-guessing stuff.
If you want me out, then fine, I'll go out, but take it easy.
Edit: The "sucker" thing was a joke. It's a phrase of mine that I use repeatedly, part of my joking speech/mannerisms.
