For the flower: the lore says it's a type that solely grows in dark places. And I believe types like these do exist in real life. I know of existing dark caves with some kind of plants.
I also had to fetch another ingredient for him, but that lay around the mine entrance actually.

To make it a bit easier, the game is on GOG.

I know that I haven't played this game. At least I cannot remember playing it. I remember a few games with mines/caves and some of them have cave-ins, but none of them made me picking up flowers...
Thus I need to refine the search:
Is it an RPG? Action, Turn-based? What about the setting? Historical, Fantasy, Sci-fi?

Fantasy action RPG. The combat system is unique enough to almost give the game away.

Since this is taking it's time: while looking for the flower, I also had to bring back some books and afterwards cleared out a basement full monsters.

Could it be that its title is somehow similar to a German comic magazine?

So, let me get this straight, the way this works is I describe the point I'm currently at in a game from GOG (or just any point in the game in general?), then see if you guys can guess it? I'd be happy to volunteer, unless there's already somebody else ahead of me. I AM the Puzzlemaster, after all. Distributing puzzles is my forte.

I've been told that this forum game is about games from GOG, not from other sites. And yes, you describe the point where you're currently struggling with.
If you would like to start a new puzzle, go for it.

For this forum game, non-GOG games are allowed too and have been asked lots of times already. Even one or two non-PC titles.

You can describe the characters, the setting, some other in-game elements (there were puzzles like "I am a mercenary who fancies hiding in boxes and stealing enemy equipment and staff by means of airlifting those"). Describe it in a way that makes the game recognizable to someone who has played it in any way you like.
Certain points in the game are a viable option, but not the only one. And yes, it doesn't have to be a game from GOG or, for that matter, a PC game at all.
Also, if you take it upon yourself to be the "puzzlemaster" for this round, bear in mind that this forum game varies greatly in pacing, sometimes a puzzle may be up for several days, sometimes it takes mere minutes to guess the game and move on to the next one. Speaking of the next one, that would be determined by the one who guesses your game, unless (s)he chooses to pass the turn.

I'm used to the potentially slow pacing. And actually, I say that because my nickname has been through the years "The Puzzlemaster" for this very reason. I have a love of puzzles of all sorts. Solving 'em, making 'em, makes no difference to me.
