Ghorpm: As much as I rarely play FPS I think it's Duke Nukem 3D
avatar
ZFR: Yes. Ironically I only played the game fully few years ago, but as I said, all my friends played it back then so I knew all about the submarine level.
I recognize the game by the ass frying quote ;)

Here is the new one: snakes, bats and spiders (even gigantic ones) I can handle. Cavemen are stupid and easy to trick. Man eating plants should be always avoided. Monkeys are pain in the ass but in most cases harmless. Simple aliens are easy to kill, those with psionic abilities are better left alone. My personal nightmare is mammoths! And apparently those specific mammoths must be Sub-Zero ancestors because I swear they shoot ice blasts all the time. Oh, how I hate them!
I'm starting feeling bad for posting games that are apparently obscure. But I swear I thought they are popular! Is it my poor descriptions?

Let's try this. Every time I go deeper and deeper. But things starts to go crazy. How can I find a lush plants several hundreds meters below ground level?! Yeah, or the fact that the aforementioned tropical plans grow right next to frozen lands?! (stupid mammoths!). Nah, I'm not here to think about vegetation, I came here to get as many valuables as I could find!

I think we just need to recruit more people to play :D Since at the moment we are quite few and not everyone might have played the games^^

I hope that's the reason ;)

I might add that this game is sold here and is not low in the bestselling list.

Uhhh...the only things that come to mind are La Mulana, Spelunky and Terraria. Terraria doesn't have mammoths, Spelunky I think didn't either (but has the bats, snakes and spiders!) so I guess it might be La Mulana? It's not anywhere on the bestselling page right now though, at least not in the top 40 or so.

Otherwise Heroes of Might and Magic 4 and later games would fit with the lush underworld, but they don't have Sub-Zero mammoths. Not to mention the other types of enemies.

(Journey to the Center of Earth, anyone? ;))

Heh, heh, actually it is Spelunky! And it does have friggin' Mammoths and they do shoot ice blasts and really get on my nerves :) Anyway - it's your turn
Waait, Spelunky, right? I just took a look at La Mulana and it doesn't seem to have much in a way of varied landscapes like Spelunky and Terraria have, so with the shareware early Spelunky version/demo I've tried, I bet it's Spelunky! :) Since La Mulana is more about surviving and having hardcore enemies rather than getting various valuables.

Ahaha, you were faster! :)

I tried the demo version and it's pretty fun, but not my type of game - I prefer normal platformers like JJ, I don't like roguelikes where you endlessly respawn and don't have much of an objective, like story points and so on. But in its exection it seems like a fun game.

Anyway, here's my next game -

Haha, it's so funny when the guards are jumping up and down like that because they stepped into the pit with hot coals! Fortunately I can jump just over them while they just run into/over them when they see me, haha! :D

(looks like GOG automatically merged both of my posts after I saw your answer and posted mine :)

Was it that easy? ;) Or I guess it's just a very memorable scene like I thought, eh? I-aaa, i-aaaa!

Definitely a memorable scene and their screams - priceless :D I also like the sound that flamingos were making when you stepped on them (Palace level). Spitting camels were nice too! With Disney on board I hope to see this game soon (along with Lion King, Jungle Book etc.)

Anyway - I'm going to bed right now so anybody may take my turn :)

Ok I'll take that offer :D

"Ok... up it goes to the next level... finally... So let's see what we have here. Uh, looks like a ghost. Attack! Wait what? Invincible? No... no... no... Where are my green swords?"
Icewind Dale?

There were undead that would only be damaged with magic weapons, and the "better quality" weapons had a greenish tint. Though if I remember correctly, although they gave + bonuses, they weren't considered magical, so would be useless anyway here.

Ghorpm: Was it really so obscure? I honestly thought it would be easy but apparently a favorite game of one person is another's obscure game. Or I described it poorly. Or both ;)
I had honestly never heard about that one before.

That mammoth image is friggin' adorable. :3

Nope :D
I'll go to sleep now. Let's see if someone has a clue about it tomorrow or I'll give some tips :-)

Say it after it freezes your butt (and subsequently kills you) five times in a row. It did happen to me. Probably I should have been ashamed of that - they are not really very dangerous because they are not aggressive. They go around and breath ice but they don't try to attack you if you leave them alone. I don't know how did it happen that I let myself be frozen by them in five consequential plays! But well, it did and from that time I just hate them ;)

I'm not really sure, it's been a while but... Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos?
