ZFR: Can you describe the person to whom all those people come?
avatar
Sanjuro: Inhuman, big eyes and ears, long neck. Pretty tall, towering high above the player character (and you don't even get to see all of him).
More hints please? ;) Genre perhaps? Or describe a scene from the game.

Nothing's changed, it's still Action/RPG. :-)
A scene from the game, hmm? Here's one:
You have just defeated a giant bull-headed monster that you've never seen before, met a friend who promised to help you later on and now you're walking carelessly on a bridge that leads to an old castle. There seem to be pretty few guards so you don't expect any problems. Next thing you know, a "freaking winged lizard" (that's what I called it most of the time anyway) flies over the bridge, engulfing in flames anything that was unlucky enough to stand on it. So much for being relaxed and better luck next time.
Can you give more details about this prophecy?

ZFR: Can you give more details about this prophecy?
If I give the exact text, it'll be way too easy, so just the basics:
There's a chosen one who will lift the curse and prevent the end of the world. To qualify, (s)he should go to certain places and do certain things and it is believed that it takes being the Chosen One to actually succeed. The prophecy is somewhat vague about what you have to do to save the world, cutting it to a "then you will know".
There's also an aspect of the Chosen One becoming a heir to a long-lost Lord, but that isn't in the text itself, it's something your inhuman "guide" tells you about. In a way, he's actually telling the truth.

Fever_Discordia: Dark Souls?
Indeed. :-)

Your turn.

Fever_Discordia: Dark Souls?
Oh yeah, that sounds right! That's why the bit with the bridge seemed so much familiar.
OK getting a bit stuck for ideas now - anyone mind if I go back to my C64 days?

Entering my adversary's secret criminal mastermind lair, he welcomes me with a message that soon turns very ominous
I proceed to ransack the place looking through everything from computer systems to sock draws looking for pieces of punch card, acrobatically leaping over gaps in the floor and my adversary's robots

Oh I know this game! It's the one where the robots use eletricity to zap you, right? And you always have to find the code to enter into the computers. I saw it in one LP but forgot the name. It seemed very cool.

Edit:

DESTROY HIM MY ROBOTS.

Mission Impossible. I just googled the name. It was a very fun and memorable game.

I just edited my post before you replied, is it that one? ;)

Ah yeah - that's the one alright!

I was actually thinking of the
"ANOTHER VISITOR - STAY A WHILE, STAY FOREVER"
Line - tremendous achievement to cram those samples plus a damn fine game with a beautifully animated main char (Prince of Persia - alike before there WAS a Prince of Persia!) into just 64k - amazing!
Your go!

Haha, oh yeah, that one. :) Yep, at the time it was really amazing when you had speech in games! And such nice graphics with colour.

Okay, here's mine:

I found this beautiful meadow in the woods with a magical tree that grows enchanted fruit that tastes really good and fills you up.

What's the genre?

I'll give another hint instead. ;)

I decided to go adventuring out into the world, armed only with my tools of trade, some good-looking but practical clothes and few provisions, and met a nice centaur in the first town! She was selling apples, and tasted quite good!
