I think both cases are fine too, especially since like Ghorpm said, sometimes a game is made in such a way, that it's difficult to describe a specific situation.

yes, we should update the original description then. Also it would be good if the person asking the question specifies whether it's a general setting or specific place if it's not obvious from the question itself. "I'm in the hospital fighting zombies" for example could be just a specific part/level, or the whole setting of a game.

I thought Throne of Bhaal, but the note about the payment makes me believe that Green Hilltop got it (though the name actually is called differently).

I only posted the name of the protagonist as I haven't played through any of the games in the series, so it could be any of them (and I was curious if I got it right as I know some details regarding him). In case I got the series right, let me take a wild guess and say it's Hitman? The first title in the franchise?

(Edit: also if it is, it's quite spoilerish for those who haven't played the game ;) Maybe we should decide whether we can post spoilers regarding the plot or not, so those who haven't played the games aren't spoiled? I can say for myself that I haven't played all classics and it would really be sad to have some great oldies like Lands of Lore and other RPGs spoiled by playing this game, so I'd prefer if we kept important spoilers out (eg. x is the character's father/the secret mage you were looking for all along) because I really like playing this game, it's the best out of all of them for me).

Green_Hilltop has the right series, but not the right game. You could say the target in question is beyond the pale.

I assumed any game was a vaild option so I did not check if this game is on GOG.

I think the original idea was about "games on GOG" but this might be too limiting - not that GOG doesn't have enough games, but not every participant is currently playing a game available here.

For me also non gog games are fine, as long as it turns not into some obscure indy game only ten people in the world have played :D
