UhuruNUru: Quite pssibly but Laura Kate’s not played Resident Evil HD according to new Podcast so she wasn't talking about that.
Well then I don't know what game she was talking about since the press keys for Grim Fandango only went out a day ago unless she is a personal friend of Tim or Greg and got a key before everyone else.

As noted by KillingMachine here, the game in question might be Heroes III HD.
Well later in that 2nd Podcast she reveals it was

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected on PS4 annd XB1 includes Gat out of Hell

No one listening even considered that a Thing to consider or knew about it, most thought Resident Evil was the target, not one person said SR4.

I didn't even know it was a thing, which for PC it's not.

Good News for GF, but still wait for the release, or even Definitive Including DLC and Directors cut to be in GOG sale.
Unless Multi-Player is your thing, whenever you get a Game it's new to you, better to play the best possible version.

We all hav e games we don't want wait that long for, but at least wait for release before buying.
Pre-Oredering is just not worth it, ever, if anything shows the stupidity and real Media Corruption (Not the GG indie Diversion), it's this list of awards.

{Edit} Seems spoiler tags don't work, so I've removed them {End Edit}

That's just for E3, which is the biggest crock of shit ever made, pure Publisher/Media induced Hype ever thought of.
If the Media wasn't totally corrupted by the AAA publishers, they'ed "Hype" the games actually released and the ones they actually play for fun, not job. I can't take GG seriously when they go after "Indies, Women and SJW's", whilst ignoring the real corruption of selling unreleased crap, even what may end up being great games are crap when sold unreleased.

Nothing shown at E3 ever deserves an award, No game deserves a Pre-order, few deserve full price purchace at release, but at least, once released, you can see the actual game get an award, instead of best bullshit Trailer at E3.

I knew there was a good reason I pretty much ignored this thread. Stop spreading FUD, people. Seriously. *le sigh*
Wait, does that mean Gat Out of Hell is a buggy mess (on PC), or just the SRIV remastering?

I haven't seen any mentions of Gat Out of Hell being buggy on PC, Saints Row IV: Re-elected the so called "Remastered" version is only available on consoles.

If it is anything like Saints 3 and 4, it will play perfectly fine. They're well made.

Yep, I saw TB live streaming it for one of his videos and it ran really well on PC like SR 3 & 4.

Might be worth you saying sorry to GOG (they do sometimes read these threads). You were basically saying that they were releasing a game that was not ready (something they have defended as a reason they aren't releasing games as fast as we would like).

It would be polite.

No just the SR4 Re-elected version

This was part of the point made, even though the original was fine, that's doesn't mean the remastered one is.

No I never once said anything about GOG's or any other specific release, I just reported the fact that a Buggy Remaster was imminent, so was GF, waiting until release and making sure is advice I'd always give, without any specific warning, because as I said in the post you quoted, Pre-orders culture leads to buggy games.

The buggy release wouldn't have been GOG's doing even if it was GF, this isn't a GOG altered release, it's a publisher made release that GOG is just selling.

So because I never said, "Don't buy this game, I know it's shit", but just don't pre-order it, theres a non specific warning that might be GF. I don't need to apologise to GOG at all.

I will give the same Don't Pre-order any new game release warning, if you do knowing that encourages buggy releases, don't complain after the fact.
The publisher has already got your money, even though GOG may refund your money, they may not get it back from the publisher.
So even on GOG don't Pre-order, though because GOG are owned by CDProjekt Red, their games may be an exception, but only if bought from GOG, even so don't complain if it's no good, I won't.

TotalBiscuit is very accurate, and really does appreciate the people that post. I think the most relevant point he makes (it's at the end of that video) is that no-one likes to be a sucker. It's hard, I've been really embarrased too. In my experience it's a beneficial change when you say, "ok, I got this one wrong".

You started a thread directly implicating a future GOG release's quality, only a child would suggest that it was not a direct attack on the game. Would you suggest otherwise? You (probably) got this one wrong. Just stand up and say it.
Again, I repeat. I didn't say what the game was or what the Release was, just that GF fit the few facts given and recommending people wait until after release to buy the game, wherever they buy it from.
A recommendation I still give for any game, whatever company is releasing it, and GOG are not releasing GF at all. this isn't GOG updating an old game, it's a Publisher release, being sold on GOG's site.

Further more, I got nothing wrong as you claim.
Title says "may be a buggy mess", not "is a buggy mess" or "will be a buggy mess". That may still be the case, regardless of the fact that it's not the game hinted at originally.
I gave a full explaination of why I was posting it and linked to the source material, I knew of no other game that matched the information and others then pointed out Resident Evil HD was also a candidate, that it turned ou to br neither of them changes nothing.

I give this warning for all games,

Any Game may be a buggy mess on release, with today's pre-order madness. Publishers, that can make massive profitts before they make the game, have no real incentive to actually release a well made and fully functional game. Experience shows, that the more A's they have, the more likely the release will be trash.

So don't pre-order on principle.
Wait for the full release, even with games on GOG. GOG makes sure old games are working on modern systems and these will usually run as good or bad as they did when last released. Not all Games on GOG are old games and some old games are updated by the Publisher/Developer, not GOG at all.

If you do Pre-order, don't complain if the game is a buggy mess, when released. I've Pre-ordered The Witcher 3 from GOG, specifically to support both GOG and CDProject Red, it may also be a buggy mess. I don't expect it to be so bad and have more faith in CDProject Red than, so called AAA Publishers.
If it turns out bad, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will not complain, because the only way not to get a buggy mess is to buy after release, not before.
I'll be frank, just judging from the shoddy "HD" screenshots I've seen from the supposed remaster, I'm actually not excited for GF anymore. I'll be BRUTALLY frank, I think Tim Schaefer has become a hack and can't make quality games, if he doesn't have someone like Ron Gilbert or a manager to keep him in check. I'm not going to say that Bobby Kotick was right, because that would make me throw up in my mouth a little bit, but man. Most of what DF has produced, with the exception of Costume Quest has been mediocre.

Iron Brigade? Stacking? And they published Escape Goat 2. :S

"Grim Fandango Remastered may be a buggy mess"

UhuruNUru: I don't need to apologise to GOG at all.
Why don't you apologize to this forum for making a big bullshit thread of misleading information?
