mike_cesara: So.. What happened with for those who like to discuss things that gog likes to delete thread? Was it deleted by G-Team or massively reported as spam? I would like to hear official clarification from The G-Team member, not from random users.
The topic had seemingly run its course and was becoming a place where people were simply arguing within. As you can imagine, this isn't exactly relevant or good for the forums. With that in mind, it was deleted.
Best of luck and welcome to the GOG gamer community!
And so the trial by fire begins. I don't envy you. ;)

Another thing - please remove the negative button as it's being abused all the time. New users coming here with questions, or even just to say hello are being targeted like meat for wolfs and hyenas.

Thank you, and I hope you survive :D
^^^This

But God forbid if someone suggests this that 9 times out of 10 they are told by other forum members to "quit crying" about rep as the person offering the suggestion gets downvoted to oblivion. That minus button is the root of most of the forum problems. The irony is that the same people who downrep posts use the low rep they caused as an excuse to justify it, thus creating a viscous circle. I've seen a lot of forum management advice that warns a new forum not to include any form of downrepping as forums that have downvotes or dislikes are much more contentious than those who without it.

Noted, i will feed this through to the relevant sources along with the likes of the spoiler tag suggestion.

Linko90: As long as your posts are within the code of conduct and your actions don't break any rules, you shouldn't have to worry about me. Same applies to everyone!
I would like to go on record. Take screenshots, whatever. Here goes:

* If the above statement in blue is actually how the forums will be run from now on
* And if bullying others for their views (as opposed to pointing out actual rule violations) will become illegal
* And if this rule will be genuinely and actively enforced
* And it will be made that the users could no longer cause other users' posts and comments do be deleted

Then let it be known that I shall, on my next trip to Europe, visit Poland and buy drinks for every current (at that time) GOG employee willing to accept the invitation. This shall hold true even if several hundred of them show up. I shall give advance warning (at least 2 weeks) and shall select a venue that shall be easily accessible from GOG's office. The event shall occur after normal working hours so that more people could choose to attend.

Thank you for the clarification Linko90! : )
Usually threads like that one are locked, which seems less confusing.

I see by the reaction to my questions that I'm in the baddie section already so bring it on but it had better be unbiased.

The reason for the delete rather than a lock then delete was purely down to this very thread.

In the future, if a multiple page thread is heading towards deletion, it will be locked and a reason stated. Then it will be deleted. As for today, given the content of this thread, I feel like the reason for the deletion is quite clear :)

Hope this clears things up!

Vegata started off as a villain, then he saved the world as a good guy. Everyone can switch roles if they wish!

It's difficult to do though when one's threads, even normal ones, get quickly downvoted into deletion.

That was a genuine olive branch but sure, you can carry on trolling if you want.
