Bow wow wow yippee yo yippee yay.
Oo, darkwood on sale?! That's a game I was cool paying full price for once I had the funds, so it's something I'll think ab-- oh wait, I am limited in how long I can think about it, nevermind, I'll pass.

but hey, knowing it's been on some gimmicky flash sale, I'll just wait for when it's actually on a real sale in the future instead of buy for full price sooner
Something a bit fishy about these flash deals... Samorost 3 just showed up but I'm fairly sure that was already on sale at that price. If these ''flash sales'' are just limited expiration dates on sales that are already active, I'll be disappointed.
Instead of ''check back every hour to see what's new'', it's ''check back every hour to see if a game's discount will end prematurely''.

muntdefems: Called it. Rayman Origins was already at 80% off since the beginning of the sale.

Are all the Flash Deals already in place, then? Or are there new ones on hold?

ciemnogrodzianin: What about Deus Ex, which was on Flash Sale and now is not discounted any more? Does ending Flash Sale turns the discount off at all?
The FAQ is not 100% clear about that:
3. Once a Flash Deal ends, is it gone forever?
Pretty much! A few deals may reappear here or there, but frankly... wouldn't count on that.
I imagine that means what you imply, that once a Flash Deal is over, the game goes back to its base price.

But it could also mean that games with a current low discount could in the future become "Flash Deals" with much higher discounts (only for them to go back to the lower discount afterwards). But I imagine that would be pretty impopular, especially among those that bought a game minutes before it became a Flash Deal, so after all I guess Flash Deals are gonna revert to base price for the reaminder of the sale.
I am sure Samorost 3 have the discount from the start of this sale.

At least 3 newly added Flash Deals are not really newly added.
Very disappointed.

Not a fighting game fan, but thanks for King of Fighters anyway. Now to decide between Shadowrun, Darkwood, or just get Crossing Souls.

That's exactly what I was afraid of. Will see.

It showed More deals coming...
I hope it is not More deals removing.

Well, two of these are on sale right now so at least we know they didn't just start all the flash sales right away. I guess they started some without indicating them as flash sales.

The Samorost 3 version in the Flash sale is the Cosmic Edition, which includes the soundtrack. I don't think that one's in the general sale.
What Remains of Edith Finch is up.

Bigs: Fuck flash sales ><
See, the thing is.

Steam stopped with the flash sales: Many people say that sales are "not the same again".

GOG tries out flash sales and people like you say they don't like it.

I have a similar opinion though :D I don't get what's great about flash sales, except forcing you to check the sale every hour, if you want a specific game.
Thanks for the giveaway! That King of Fighters game is fun! :D

Is there a hack to make it work with two controllers though? Limiting one player to use a keyboard in a fighting game will make it literally unplayable with real people.

Vythonaut: Aaand, fans of isometric cRPGs should not miss Shadowrun: Hong Kong (basically, you should not miss any of the Shadowrun games!).
I have been playing Alien Shooter 1 and 2, and I have really enjoyed the non-fantasy RPG aspect of them. I didn't know I could like an RPG until I found one that wasn't fantasy. The Alien Shooter series are all isometric, and they work great on my low-end antique PC's. I checked out the Shadowrun series on your recommendation, and it looks like they have everything I like about the Alien Shooter series, but much more "serious", and it looks like they will probably work on my old hardware too. So, on your recommendation, I decided to get the Shadowrun series. GOG should give you a box of chocolates for Valentine's day :)
Darn, it was a bit annoying receiving an email "items on your wishlist are now discounted!" and finding it was a flashsale when you get home from work and the discount is gone.
That should have been reflected somehow in the email.
