PromZA: I see several titles repeating. I dunno but I don't think that's the purpose of a flash sale.
avatar
RWarehall: It's not like GoG hasn't done flash sales many times before...
And every time, the same deals would repeat multiple times.

On rare occasions, a flash deal would appear only once, but that was the exception rather than the rule.
I don't really see why anyone was expecting anything different.
Well ok then. As I said I may not understand it but it just seems to defeat the purpose when things keep rotating in what's supposed to be a flash sale.
Singles Day?! I thought that was 11.11!

We expected different because of this part of the sale FAQ:

"3. Once a Flash Deal ends, is it gone forever?
Pretty much! A few deals may reappear here or there, but frankly... wouldn't count on that."

And yet we've seen the same games repeat over and over again.
May i Suggest that the next giveway game would be a strategic one like deadlock 2, Heroes of might and magic 3, or KKND?? anything that gives nostalgia.

Just wait for a sale on those games. :)

Indeed. I did a quick calculation this morning (it's just past 2 PM here currently) and found that there were about 22% repeats at that point (12 out of 57 deals). The repeats have kept churning since as well. So, yeah, not exactly a 'few' deals reappearing here and there - unless by 'few' they mean the same handful of titles are going to keep being repeated over and over and over.
I thought I should mention it, since there's still no news post about it: There is also a Singles' Day Collection - One dev, one game sale going on, which is kind of drowning in everything else going on on the front page.
Rayman Origins GOG 80% off = 3.39€.
Rayman Origins Steam 66% off = 3.39€.

We see what you did there Ubifail.

Thanks for pointing that out: I completely missed this one. On a side note, if I have nothing selected it says '80% off your selection'. But if I select Avadon 3, it changes to 50% off. I realize this is intentional (since the price shown for Avadon 3 in the list is actually only 50% off), but the header is misleading the way they've set it up.
Single's Day? Seriously? Please tell me it's about celebrating stuff like Whiter Shade of Pale and Candle in the Wind.
Or as I call it, MGTOW awareness day. :3
Hi.

While this sale is great for the site and for most I have one issue. The time. Because I move about a lot due to my work. I cannot always be on a computer that is OK for me to log on GOG here. The constant confirming on any new computer is what kills the chance of claiming these sales. If I were able to log on one computer like I am now using this wouldn't be an issue. But because of work and when I am at other locations I cannot use the computers as I see fit. Thus while I am able to surf I have to confirm that yes it is me on my email address. Now if I have enough data on my phone I could do this but sometimes I don't and have to be careful not to go over my cap. Or I get a big bill.

Now this isn't a whine post but a plead to GOG to do something about this issue on needing to always get that code in the email when on different computers. I know it's for security reasons but surely there must be another easier way than at present. If I over looked something just kindly point me in the right direction.

GR00T: Thanks for pointing that out: I completely missed this one.
You would have missed just a single game. All of the games in this "new" Singles' Day Collection sale, except Dust: An Elysian Tail, already have been discounted since the beginning of the Chinese New Year sale. Even worse, the counter on the Singles' Day sale page already ends in about 31 hours, while the Chinese New Year sale lasts until Tuesday. Does that mean that all these games also get removed from the Chinese New Year sale in 31 hours so that this Singles' Day sale actually is a restriction rather than an extension of the current sale?

Could someone from GOG please clarify if the discounts for the games in the Singles' Day Collection really get removed in about 31 hours already or if they stay active until the end of the Chinese New Year sale?
