Crosmando: Goddamn I hate flash sales, why can't you just put all the games you intend to put on sale up and that's it? It's just a cheap way to get more clicks on the site.
avatar
Oatison: Flash Sales are just "flashes" of a bigger discount on the already discounted game during the sale.
Yes, so in order to get the bigger discount, you need to constantly come back to the site every hour, as I said it's just a way to generate clicks. I thought GOG gave up on flash sales because of all the negative feedback they got last time.

Doesnt have to be every hour, only one new game pops up in flash sale every hour so you could just check every 6 hours without missing anything. Still though, if it wasnt for some games going back to full price after showing up on flash sale then I wouldnt have a problem with this. Checking the store page every once in a while is not a big deal compared to saving less money overall

I don't like flash sales, but with the current format, you only need to check the site every six hours to see all discounts. Leaps and bounds better than the insomnia sales.

Edit: Damn ninjas...

Damn, I missed Deus Ex, because I was still on my way back from work. Other than that I like the flash deals ;)

Zoidberg: Also, thanks for the unplayable free game. :/

LeonKillsAshley: Unplayable? How so?
Controls bound to keyboard and NOT changeable. Check the reviews.
*looks at the new flash sale entry*
Bwahahahahaha! You must be joking!

Go for Deus Ex: Invisible War (-85% for the next 6h) if you're interested in the whole series.

Zoidberg is right. It's just impossible to play with default controls and there seems to be no option to change the settings.

No Joy2key or X360ce options?
Funny thing is that every flash sale seems to show up 2 hours early if you check the game pages...
Noticed that tonight when I saw Crawl on sale and knew it wasn't earlier...then it showed as a flash deal.
I think I like flash sales...Just came to the office, made myself a cup of cofee and picked Sudden Strike gold -55%. Nice start of a day, I say
What's the point in a flash sale if you're just going to repeat it after a few hours? Should be called Morse Code sales.
