evenhalvorsen: there's no reason at all why those games shouldn't be available at gog!!!
Sachys: Rights, licences, legal limbo / legal hell, and of course - even given GOG have the rights etc, will it sell?
I guess thats the way it is, unfortunately
evenhalvorsen: I have been wondering for years why gog haven't released games like siege of avalon, nightstone, pool: myth drannor, and gorasul. My heart breaks!!!! I want to play those games!!! And there's no reason at all why those games shouldn't be available at gog!!!
Snickersnack: Ah, you are in luck. Siege of Avalon was on the front page not long ago. Should be arriving soon.
https://www.gog.com/game/siege_of_avalon_anthology Ah, I saw it now!!!! Siege of avalon is one of the best games I've played!!!! It really catches the fantasy setting!! Thanks!!!!
DiffuseReflection: Nightstone and Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor are not available on Steam either, so whatever the obstacle is it may not be specific to GOG.
There is a GOG wishlist entry for
Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor at least, but there isn't one for Nightstone.
Thank you. I'll join the wishlist then. But we should also create wishlists for nightstone and gorasul!!!!
wolfsite: Rights holder(s) are normally the main reason, but as many have stated there can be a lot of legal knots in the way as well.
Would love to see the Lemmings series here however Sony hold the rights to it. Horizon Zero Dawn though (as well as the announcement that other of there more recent games are coming to PC) shows that there is hope they could start looking at the back catalog of games they have and start releasing them on PC again
Yeah, thanks. Can't believe there would that many legal issues with old games who arent even that popular though...
