damien: this is a title from the classic Panzer General series, but in fantasy setting. A good game by any measure
I'm not really a fan of the game... But the music is worth it alone.

Just click on the "continue" button. It may take a few tries to go through as some have reported. I believe the GA is still active..

Sorry if already shared...
Ok finally got it. Thanks for getting the word out. I'm looking forward to giving this a spin.
Forgot to say thank you for the notice. I got it, looks like a nice game. :)
Two giveaways in one week -- thank you twice, GOG!
Thank you for pointing this out. This one I would have missed for sure, were it not for you people!
And I have this game in my wishlist for a long time.

One question: I remember having played the demo for a game that was quite similar to this one (turn-based strategy game with hexagons). But all I remember from it (circa 1998) was that you had two factions: one with modern military and another with a fantasy theme that appeared through a mist, according to the story.
Does anyone know what game that was?

EDIT: maybe it was even some campaign of Fantasy General...?

Could it be Spellcross?
It's more like XCom, though.

Ooooh I might finally know one of these - any chance it could have been "Battles in Time" ? It had a campaign where you'd use modern military, Evangelical Forces (and by Evangelical forces, I don't mean Crusaders - I mean guys riding dinosaurs ;) ) and maybe a fantasy team.

I grabbed this. I sort of immediately regretted it, because I don't like "clutter" on my shelf (yes, I know I can hide items) but I suppose it'll be good to have if I ever get the itch for an "old school" hex based wargame.

I can see the fantasy skin being a plus or a minus, depending on the mood I'm in.

My first reaction was no way, but on further analysis, it could be. Strange how I recall it with more of an SSI interface.

Wow! That seems to be extra-obscure! It is not easy to find good screenshots of it. But the story seems to align less with what I remember. It does have hexagons.

I am more inclined towards it being the Spellcross game, and wonder how much of my memories may be wrong in some capacity.

Thank you for your fine help. Only one more ancient game memory to solve!
Been having issues getting this code for 2 days now and it seems to have ended.

Anyway for GOG support to help a fellow goger to get the code or is this one of those oh well moments I will have to face?
First I missed Constructor, and now this. I could have sworn I was pretty actively monitoring GOG's forums, but clearly I'm slacking off. :(

Need some help? Be my friend ;) I usually inform a few friends about offers like that, so let me know (by chat) where are you often enough and I can let you know (Gog chat? FB? Email?) . No guarantee here, but I'm monitoring some quite reliable sources and I haven't missed any offer so far.
