I see Gorky on Steam at a very cheap price, I have the original disc as Odium but my disc drive is banjaxed, But after seeing it on sale, I wouldnt mind playing it again..

Is there any reason to choose the GOG version over the Steam version apart from DRM?

Well, the GOG version does offer some extras (like the soundtrack), but if you don't particularly care, go ahead and buy it on Steam.
A couple of extras but otherwise it is exactly the same. Just buy it for super cheap on Steam.
There's always the perpetual answer that GOG respects its customers and Steam is a vile abomination. Why would you want to give money to evil empire?

For the sake of 55p, I don't see why the OP should give a toss. lol
Thanks :)

I thought GOG might have lavished some TLC on it as they do sometimes with other games :)

Because it's better than being a self-and-peer-loathing smeghead and rewarding Steam with a purchase for constantly screwing everyone over.

I think you need to get out more.

the game doesn't use any drm on steam, as far as i remember
Somebody should buy it off the Zoom Platform and see if that version really works any better, since it claims to be supported on Win 7, 8, and 10.

The game's Steam page also shows compatibility with Windows 7 and 8.

Huh, okay.

Huh indeed. It also has multilingual support. I wonder whether Steam/Zoom Platform have an updated build of the game or something.

It uses steam alright. But for the sake of 55p man, it's not worth worrying about.

Same with their release of Hogs of War.
