For those of us of an age she'll always be remembered as Delenn. Another of the B5 family sadly gone :(
God Damnit RIP :(
I'm not sure any of the young'uns around here even know what Babylon 5 is, which is a pity in itself...

their loss then :P
Darn shame.
I just found out a few minutes ago. This is shocking. I read she had health problems. She could have still lived a few more decades. :(

I loved her character Delenn on Babylon 5. She was also great on Lost. She will always be remembered for her amazing work.

Very sad news. No cause of death has been given yet, but it sounds like she had been fighting something over the past few months and knew that her time with us was coming to an end. She posted a farewell message on her Twitter account indicating that she was at peace and ready to begin a new journey "beyond the rim".

QQ damn shame and to young i check google to verified it. it's legit.
Very sad news. I still consider Babylon 5 to be the single best tv series I've ever seen, and every one on the characters (and actors) is therefore dear to me.

It was reported in domestic media that she died from complications after being infected with West Nile virus (mosquito bite) :(

For many young guys and girls in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro and (North) Macedonia in 1980ies and 90ies, Mira was their first celebrity crush or role model, and she was regarded as incredibly gifted and versatile actress, often pushing boundaries.
Unfortunately (and shamefully) her pacifism and cosmopolitanism during the rise of the nationalism and war times in 1990ies was deemed as "not being patriotic enough" so she went to USA, and started her acting career basically from zero.
Read about this shortly after tracking the delivery of my B5 series 2 DVD today. Made it even more weird to read.

Wow, this is terrible. Way too many of the cast are gone now before their time. A lot of talent cut short, and most of them seemed to be good people, especially Mira. Some stayed friends long after the show was over.

She was in Sierra's unreleased Babylon 5 game by way of FMV footage. Now that would be quite a tribute if GOG could somehow get ahold of that and get someone to finish it, since as I understand it was mostly done when it was cancelled. But I wouldn't be surprised if the files are lost now.

Unfortunately the DVDs are not very good quality. The show was filmed in widescreen, but all the CGI (and there's a lot of it) was not, due to Warner Bros idiocy, so it's cropped and upscaled and doesn't match the live action. The recently-released, remastered (sort of) version on iTunes is much better. It's 4:3, but you gain quality and consistency, and considering it was intended for 4:3 anyway, the widescreen isn't much of a loss. Apparently it will be on HBO Max next week as well, hopefully the same as the iTunes version.
