drachehexe: So I don't have to download 60 different files individually and then install a bunch of them one by one maybe?
Funny, I only need to click on the installer, not on 60 different files. Apparently you're using some special "whiny dipshit" option. Also, your complaint is that if you use the optional client then you end up using the optional client, instead of not using the optional client, only you don't want to not use it so what was your complaint again?

The installer doesn't install the DLC "dipshit".

And if you had to be online to fuck... you'd... play? Damn, I had something there and I lost it.
So you choose to use Galaxy and complain about having to use Galaxy after having chosen to use Galaxy. That's some Yo,dawg meme logic right there.
Also, my heart bleeds for you, all the time and effort spent on double clicking on those DLC's! There is, like, a thousand of them for every game! And the mouse bites every time you click!

I just tested this with a fresh game installation through Galaxy. The desktop shortcut didn't try to launch Galaxy, nor did the shortcut in the Start menu. Unless you're somehow making the mistake of using the shortcut for the client instead of the shortcut for the game, it sounds like you're experiencing a bug. Contact Support and they should be able to help you.Marioface5: Nope, games don't require Galaxy to run even if they were installed with it. Not sure where you got your information from, but it's incorrect.
drachehexe: Because if I click on the games icon the client starts up and then I have to click play within the client to get the game to run. How is that "not requiring the client"? stg83

Clicking on the exe in the game folder or creating desktop/start menu shortcuts to said exe. That's how. You. Don't. Need. Galaxy. Even if you installed the games with Galaxy. I believe that might have already been mentioned somewhere in here...

Um, yeah, sure. What are you gonna do? Call me names? Regardless, I already fixed. My point is I shouldn't have to fix it. If GOG is so interested in DRM free then their client should support total non interference by default. Instead they make it default that the Galaxy is always in your system tray and that the default shortcut with an installation fires up the client before you can fire up the game. They punish you by making you have to dig through the game's folders and find the buried .exe file to make a shortcut yourself if you want to avoid the client.
For a company that wants to keep DRM out of your face they're doing a lousy job of it with the client. This is at the very least shortsighted design and the worst typical marketing to make sure their products stays in your face as much as possible.

drachehexe: Not a bug. If you look at the target for the game's icon it specifically directs it to the Galaxy client and not the game's .exe. This is for The Witcher 3, perhaps it's different for other games.
I'd like to apologize for the rude comments here. :) But seriously, it has been explained three times in this thread already that you can start the game directly via the normal .exe file in the game folder or via any shortcut to this file.
