There are enough old games here that if you played every game from Akalabeth to Rayman 3, you would be occupied for a considerable time.

What have you got against the Zork games?

babark: TIME4TEA TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED!

Please tell me!
Readers digest version... I started a forum thread titled 'Mods That Respect Morrowind' and by the end. People were denying that Morrowind even existed. They said that 'I cant demonstrate that a primary story narrative exists'

Think about it. I use a wall of text to define that 'lore is law' that 'canon is truth' that any mods to be discussed on my thread were supposed to 'stay true to the original intent' and I had a half dozen people screaming at me that there was no original intent, that I just need to slapstick whatever the hell together with no regard for the original feel of the game, the story and history of the world. At one point, a dude actually suggested that Darth Vader could be a bouncer in a corner club... That asshole wanted an Elder Scrolls Starwars crossover to be considered canon...

Blatant disrespect... Blatant f*king insults... And because I choose to respond poorly, which I have the right to do... Somehow that negates EVERYTHING that anyone else can ever do... People can spit in my eye, and call my mother a wh0re, but if I scream F*K YOU! im the only one in the wrong...

I refuse to accept that. Anyone who demands that I should, can go to h*ll.....

Joseph_Grey: Go on, explain to me, that putting 'oldest' on the sorter, is going to sort everything by 'original year published' and not by 'year added to the site' go on, be a condescending prick... Prove to me how stupid you are...
Because "Date added" is a separate filtering option, which you would have noticed had you made the slightest bit of effort instead of wanting everyone to do everything for you: https://www.gog.com/games?page=1&sort=date

As a bonus, here's a completely unrelated quote: "If you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole."

Joseph_Grey: Again, I come into an ice cream shop titled 'all about strawberries' and here you are, telling me that strawberries are bad... But somehow im abusive? Somehow not just accepting anything else is wrong? I dont respect you, because you cant use sense... I dont want shit filled micro transactions, I want a complete game, that was made with heart, with creativity, not a cheap copy of that...

Dark_art_: Your choice mate. Your response has all I need to know, thank you.
by all means, tell me how someone coming into an ice cream shop called 'all about strawberries' and openly telling people that strawberries suck, isnt wrong... Explain to me, how joining a chess club, and telling everyone 'chess sucks, i want to play monopoly' when you joined a chess club, tell me how that isnt wrong... Please, I want to understand this profound wisdom, that you can come into something, hate it, and you arent the one in the wrong...

Hows this for a quote 'if people are too stupid to understand what you are saying, then they are too stupid to understand you explaining that they are too stupid to understand what you are saying'

PixelBoy: That game is less than two months old, even though the cutoff point for old is undefined, I think that is simply too new. Strictly speaking it is last year's release though, so I guess from a certain point of view it is already one year old.

thefallenalchemist: Bloodrayne Terminal Cut is a remastered version of a game that came out when I was still in high school on the PS2. Same with Bloodrayne 2. That makes them both about 15-20 years old so no, not just a few months ago. This is actually the development team reworking their games to run on modern hardware. Bloodrayne 2 was nigh unplayable before that.
"Release date: November 20, 2020"

Copy-pasted right from the GOG game page.

If it's not the original, then it's something else. And this is something else, as the game card correctly says.

Narushima: Sort by oldest, Einstein: https://www.gog.com/games?page=1&sort=release_asc
Kids these days, you really have to tell them everything. In my day, we knew how to use a website!
(See, it's easy being a condescending prick)
not a kid and I didn't see the option to sort by age. Incidentally, I have the oldest game in the GOG catalogue lol

Yes, the release date of the remake. The original version came out in 2005-2007. Google Bloodrayne and you'll find the release date.

The first game was released in 2002. The second was released in 2004. So even older than I thought.
GOG made new pages, but here is some information on what happened. These are simply enhanced versions, nothing was really changed.

I don't need to google anything.
I received a free review copy of BloodRayne back in the day, and got paid for playing and reviewing it. I still have it in some cardboard box somewhere.

That's all irrelevant to the fact that what is called "Terminal Cut" is a new product, in other words a different game, with story and some assets coming from the original obviously, but still it's different from the original game.
Nope, they are both the same game. The only difference is that they have improved graphic effects, better lighting and the ability to use modern controllers and feature multiple languages I just sent you a link that explains all of it.
A remaster is not a different game. It's like saying that a 4K movie features a different movie than a Blu-ray. It's the same movie, it just looks better.

Look at this shit... I start a thread complaining that old games are mixed in with new games... And all Alchemist wants to do is split hairs about how new games are less new, because reasons... I started this thread talking about '90s' and this guy is prattling on about 2005-2007 ok..... Not changing how I feel about people... No rational thought here...

Well, not quite. Sometimes directors do make some changes when the movie is published anew, particularly on a new medium, adding/deleting/moving scenes (director's cut, ultimate cut and so on), so in those cases it's not just about looks. And in other cases, with poor transfer, the movies might actually look worse or the same as previous editions.

Indeed, while we've kept the GOG name, we're only formerly known as Good Old Game. =)

Also, Joseph_Grey, and obviously everyone else, please remain polite and avoid using vulgar language against other people on our forums.
