RWarehall: But there is no way to have a "hard rule". There are a lot of developers and you'll never get them all to agree. Frankly Cavalary, you seem to be going around to every thread you can to bash GoG. I see your posts all over the threads with people complaining about GoG not accepting some very marginal games. Here you are bashing some more. If you don't like it here, there are other stores...
Funny, there was a way to have an even harder rule before 2 years ago.
And you saw me in precisely one thread about not accepting a game, and hardly all over in general. Tend to just track a small number of threads, though yes, my activity since the "good news" is largely limited to bashing them about the way they went since then. And that's because the very fact that they were different in those ways were why I ended up here in the first place and why I was promoting them in every way I could.
But please, do tell me of another store that does DRM-free, flat prices, no regional restrictions, decent support (as in other than sending you over to the developer in case of trouble) and most preferably making a cause out of these things, wanting to change things, like they used to. For the other stores that never claimed those things I never cared and I still won't; can count the games legally purchased before GOG on my fingers (all retail copies) and then seeing them actually fight for something fair made me get off "pirating" for good... for the time being.
So I'm bashing because I want that again, somebody fighting to turn this industry into something good and fair for the end user who actually cares and thinks things through. So, again, if you have others making a dent in this area and standing firm, do point me their way. Otherwise, they're the ones I know used to, and can only hope to keep reminding them, and the others who may be inclined to care, of it now and then.
