Some of us (like me) don't even use Steam (for resons like optional client, regional pricing etc.).

First post, maybe i'm failing to comprehend your sarcasm, did gog moderation closed the other thread? Or is it about the increase of the number of games cheaper on Russian than in the rest of the world?

Sword of the Stars costs only 0.89 rubel? That`s about 2 Euro cents! Cents, I said! That`s nothing!

Nobody closed nothing. It's just that we felt there's not much point in keeping a thread about regional pricing, when 95% of the catalogue is regionally priced. So we opened a new one, hopefully choosing a title that will still be relevant a year from now.

It's not "Sword of the Stars", it's "Sword of the Stars - Necromancer DLC".
And it's not 0.89 rubles, it's 0.89 US dollars. All the prices MaGog reports are always in USD (as mentioned in post #2).

Many of us dont use Steam.

I agree that DLCs, regional pricing and the neglected site are quite bad new changes, but I keep repeating myself that they're just temporary or quite unavoidable for new games.
Region locks have also been a shock, but luckly they're limited to a few titles in german.

Surely I could never accept any DRM or forced online client, so I keep my fingers crossed..

This seems a necessary compromise, even if not ideal..

That's not how it works. German users are unable to purchase the Commandos games and Australian users are unable to purchase Hotline Miami 2. If they have received those games as gifts, they will receive and still be able to download the same version as the others. The only regionally-censored (not locked) game on GOG is Witcher 2 on Australia.

"Stupid country laws" were also in effect before they did that, and the games have been in catalog since 2009...

On another note, look what showed up flat priced. Not also DRM-free though.

I must admit that I am puzzled about that too.
They enforced the ban suddenly after the forum introduction, and that doesn't seem like a great tradeoff.
