mrkgnao: We will be checking every 6 hours, as we do for every game on GOG.
Well, I mean check it as a human being, to see if the regular price is also flat. But then I suppose the system will alert you to that, too.

Hey, did you just call MaGog "the system"? She's a lady.

There's nothing artificial about MaGog's intelligence. It's 100% natural and organic. She does all her thinking au naturel, with organ music playing in the background.

Ha, you're not that sinistar either; we wouldn't get along well if you were - or would we? ;-)

I like some Boellmann and Buxtehude myself.

Incidentally, my original comment was about rechecking the price after the end of the sale, irregardless of the frequency of checks in the interim. This is assuming GOG will update the base prices after the sale, instead of leaving them as they currently are, of course.
From MaGog's logs for 18 April:

The "Australasia (AU)" region has been split into two separate regions: "Australia (AU)" and "New Zealand (NZ)".

The reason:
- While The Witcher 3 is regionally priced in both countries, the Expansion Pass DLC, and The Witcher 3 with the Expansion Pass DLC are only regionally priced in Australia, not New Zealand.

Here are the full prices of these three items in Australia and New Zealand (in USD):
Australia: Game - $69.39; Pass - $27.69; Game + Pass - $96.39
New Zealand: Game - $69.39; Pass - $24.99; Game + Pass - $79.99

This discrepancy was probably so since the announcement of the season pass, but MaGog found out about it only today, because its region identification logic was temporarily disabled as a result of GOG's Y1K bug (which is still there, 9 days after reaching 1000 items, now with 20 games inaccessible).

The fuck?
$96.39 USD = $123.84 AUD = $125.52 NZD
$79.99 USD = $102.77 AUD = $104.16 NZD

And that addition doesn't seem right... so once again Australia pays more because "Fuck you"

GOOD NEWS!

As you may know, at the moment MaGog always displays full regional prices (i.e. ignoring current sales). I am working on adding the display of current (sale) regional prices too (suggested by Shambhala), to be released sometime this week.

Meanwhile, I noticed some curious phenomena. Apparently sales are not identical in all regions (i.e. the discount is somewhat different in different regions, currently affecting only RU/UA/UZ). Two such cases I have noticed today:

1) Weekend Sale:
- The regular price of "Ishar Compilation" when not on sale is the same in RU/UZ and UA: $2.79. But during the weekend sale, the price in RU/UZ is $0.79, while in UA it is $0.89.
- The same $0.10 difference is seen also for Cat Lady, Depths of Peril, Evoland, Faces of War, Gone Home, InFlux, Journey to Center of Earth, Magrunner, Real Texas, Robinson's Requiem, Samaritan Paradox, Sherlock Holmes, and Zafehouse.

2) The Witcher 1 + 2
Apparently The Witcher 1 and The Witcher 2 are currently on a small scale "sale" in RU/UZ (but not UA). Their regular prices there are $3.79 and $8.19, respectively. Their prices at the moment are $2.79 (-26%) and $6.09 (-25%).

Go figure.

mrkgnao: Go figure.
Regional pricing isn't a can of worms - it's a 50-gallon drum of them.

[The Y1K bug has not]
