Cavalary: Wonder if that wouldn't violate some terms somewhere though? Not that I'd think they'd do anything about it, but just wondering.

muntdefems: Hmmm... I always wondered why didn't mrkgnao ever automatize his update posts. Maybe this is the main reason?
I'm not sure, but I think in mrkgnao's case he was limited by the number of connections he could make to Gog, and as he was already at that limit just running MaGog and scanning the data automating his update posts may have put him over and locked him out.
That being said, the forum does seem to be some what separate as I have locked myself out of the forum but not the rest of the site in the past with my script's search function, and mrkgnao did try to make his own search function / indexer for the forum but wasn't able to because of the small limit on visits the forum has...

Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about breaching terms of service... if they don't stop the spammers and people being abusive I doubt they would stop you...

Can't imagine what makes you say this...

After an email exchange with mrkgnao, it turns out he didn't do it because he always felt the need to manually supervise his script's outputs. Like e.g. not reporting trivial updates like changing "Widnows" for "Windows", and things like that.

I think I'll opt for the fully automatic way no matter what and, if anything, I'll just manually update/remove anything that's not worth mentioning afterwards.

Yeah, I don't think I've got anything to fear just for making a couple of automatic posts every 6h... or so I hope. :P

Just a tiny thing: AR is also a region.

Is this the script already submitting or you doing it manually btw?

I'm still manually posting everything, but the script happened to have a silly bug that you helped me uncover. Thanks! :)

From MaGog's logs for 29 June:

A new conversion rate change has taken place, involving a whole lot of regional USD price adjustments. See the attached file (change jpg to txt) for the gory details.

Overall, the USD prices of regionally priced games seem to have slightly decreased in AU/CA/CH/regCZ/regDE/DK/GB/regIT/MC/NL/NO/NZ/PL/regRO/regRS/SE, while they seem to have slightly increased in RU/UA/regUZ.

PS: Before anyone asks or complains, I'll say it again: PLEASE CHANGE THE jpg EXTENSION TO txt TO OPEN THE ATTACHED FILE.

On the one hand, interesting price reduction for STASIS. On the other, the game's pricing scheme is still heavily fragmented and regionalized...

Always nice to see price reductions. The gazillion regional price points of this title though are still a big negative.
