Ah, trickle down economy. That is nice ideology but it does not work in reality. The whole west is in stagnation for decades now. EU now in deflation. There are interesting times ahead.

Had to be expected. GOG suffers from the Y1K bug.

If one attempts to go in the game catalogue beyond page 20 (e.g. http://www.gog.com/games##sort=bestselling&page=21) it fails, effectively locking the catalogue at 1,000 items. Reported to Judas and support.

Until this is fixed (or I write a temporary workaround), MaGog is unable to extract regional pricing information for new games (so they appear to be flat priced, but are not necessarily really so).

Thanks. This gave me a complete new angle. Poland should be proud of the high price for Witcher 3. It's a complement to their industrial strength, cunning commercial ability, excellent workforce and striving business (3% increase in GDP per year is actually not that bad). It may mean that CDP thinks they must have some money and being polish themselves they should know actually.

Thanks for the update. I've pulled both from the Flat Price list. Dubious that anything will ever get added to that, unless we get another game like Arx Fatalis which the publisher refuses to discount under any circumstance.

I joined GOG when the main reason was to sell DOS games (even if could do it myself).

I don't follow the forum much, since I too grown up to be inflamed by game wars, ecc.

But I'm sad to see how this nice site has grown more and more money hungry to the point to stomp over his self-set belief.

I still buy some game from time to time, but even here, the range of interesting games is dropping.

The regional pricing is something that really made me mad.
In a sens make all game worthless: if in some region you pay 3$ and in other 10$, and you are making a profit from both, how worthless is the game then?

OK. So, GOG updated all its prices for RU/UA/UZ (silent price update?), raising them by ~5-10%. The full details are in the attached file (change jpg to txt).

The highlights:
- Anomaly Warzone Earth, Braveland Wizard, Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut, Elminage Gothic, Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power, Gothic, Sea Dogs, Sword of the Stars: The Pit Gold Edition - Necromancer [DLC], Titan Souls [Upcoming], Titan Souls: Digital Special Edition [Premium] [Upcoming] are now regionally priced also in UA

- Cossacks Anthology is now regionally priced in RU/UA/UZ (Was previously flat priced). Ironically it is significantly more expensive there, $9.09 instead of $5.99. Obviously a bug.

- Overall the RU/UA/UZ discount has been reduced from ~60-62% to ~57-58%.

- Finally, because of the GOG Y1K bug, MaGog cannot access the regional pricing information for Zombie Shooter 2, Zork Anthology, Zork Nemesis, and Zork Grand Inquisitor (the list will grow longer as GOG adds games, if they do not fix their bug), so their regional prices on MaGog are incorrect. If you care about this, please send a message to support. I already sent one 24 hours ago, but perhaps if more will do the same, they will fix it.

GOG reached basically Steam prices, I'm not buying on the site from a while, because basically prices are now the same from other sites, the US vantage is totally gone. On Steam I can use money from card selling, at least, sometimes grabbing a cheapest game for free, on GOG there's nothing similar.
On Steam you can use vouchers, on GOG you can't, excluding some rare istances.

I like to have DRM free games, but the fact I buy digital titles is basically to avoid having DVD with back-up copies in and there (since I can download a title when I want), so Steam or GOG don't make a big difference now.

It was different when GOG whas a cheap option, but now with the same prices, I prefer buying my games on Steam or HumbleStore when possible, in order to grab both a DRM free copy and a Steam key, as I did with Grim Fandango.

This must be the most excessive regional pricing I've ever seen. Either it's a bug or Daedalic has gone completely crazy.
