pearnon: *snip*
Hahahahahahah, oh come on man, don't you have any more criticisms than that? I mean thats all you got?

I mean congrats and all on being the sorest winner in the room…. but wait, you don't even live here? Don't even actually have any skin in the game? Heh, well then I'm not sure you deserve more than a "bugger off" for all that. Oh but what the hell, let's go through your first "point" or 2 just for fun.

avatar
pearnon: The unwarranted, high horse-riding arrogance that so disgusted the people you sneer at and foisted a siege mentality upon them.
Oh thats right, I almost forgot - I was running for president, not Clinton. Me and my damn arrogance, yep, thats what put Trump in the white house. Dammit, will work on that for my next run, I promise…

avatar
pearnon: Somehow, I'm sure they didn't seem "imbecilic" to you when Obama was elected.
Look we got plenty of imbecilic people everywhere, even the imbeciles know it. Some voted for Obama, some voted for Trump, some voted for Clinton, some probably wrote-in the Virgin Mary. Such is life...

avatar
pearnon: The select few? Like that venal sellout who sold his soul to the devil and hanged his people out to dry? Willing to take in is more like it - meaning a cushy sinecure and a pat on the bald pate.
Umm, wanna do me a favor and say something that actually makes a *tiny* bit of sense at least? I mean after that, what's the point in continuing to read your IMBECILIC post? :)

avatar
pearnon: And, after almost two years, you insist on doubling down on these baseless notions and refuse to learn from reality.
Oh really? You sure about that? Man I hate that when i "insist on" something and all double down without realizing I did. Happens all the time, damn, you got me. :P

avatar
pearnon: But yeah, he's an inexperienced, zero-intelligence buffoon. Makes sense. It has to, otherwise there goes your narrative, right?
There goes everybody's narrative, Einstein. Nobody thinks this guy is smart, even most who voted for him don't. And everybody knows he's never been a real leader of anything besides his personal empire. Again, most people I know who voted for the guy realize all that. It's a shame you don't. I don't know, perhaps it helps to live here - when you actually know the people who support the man, you'd have a more realistic sense of what they do and do not like about him. Very few think he's the model of perfection that you seem to worshipfully admire so much. To most of the electorate, this was a "lesser of two evils" choice. Again, helps tremendously to know and talk to lots of people here, that way you understand their reasoning a bit and don't just try to imagine it from a gazillion miles out.

And you know, f you would have actually read my post within writing your semi-sensical rant (yeah im being nice with that), you would have seen that I DID think Trump would most likely win vs Clinton. Not that I care much whether you know that or not, just sayin….

Well I'll tell you what, as somebody myself who was involved in this campaign in the primaries, and lives here and talks to my fellow Americans every day, including people who voted for Trump and for Clinton, I can tell you know very little about the American electorate and this election. I mean maybe, what, 2% of us would agree with your IMBECILLIC (thats my new word! but maybe just when talking to fools like you!) "assessment" of Sanders. Maybe he gets bad press in Portugal or something, but here he is THE most favorably rated politician in America, including your favorite buffoon. Look it up, numbnuts.

Ok this was fun for a minute, but sorry I'm not going to bother going any further through your poorly-informed "criticisms". As a suggestion to you, maybe go ahead and learn something before you post. Or just shut up about shit you know very little about. Helps a whole lot with the whole "getting taken seriously" thing.

But he was not a slaver, like Washington.

Ariod: If the Dems had run Sanders, who had the same kind of "outsider cred" as Trump, minus the side-helping of idiocy and authoritarianism... well this would be a vastly different conversation in this thread today. But running Hillary during a period of intense anti-establishment feeling, against a perceived "outsider", made it possible for even one of the weakest, least popular candidates in our history to win. So, in the endless irony that we live with here in good ol America, the Democratic party leadership and Hillary herself turned out be Trump's MVPs. I don't believe he could have won it without them. They created the perfect storm that allowed some zero-experience zero-intelligence reality star buffoon to win.

And if you're not sure if what I'm saying is true, just look at the exit polling. 38%, I believe, was the number of Trump voters who said they don't like him and their choice was a "lesser of 2 evils" thing. Nobody thinks "evil" about Sanders, even those who disagree with him. His track record of integrity and fighting for the small guy and working people is quite the opposite of Clinton, and his overall "favorable rating" was recently noted as the highest of any politican in America. This guy would have won over my Midwestern working class neighbors who are the ones (well along with Florida i guess) who handed this thing to Trump. Rather than handing the presidency to Trump, Bernie woulda handed him his ass.
I have no doubt that Bernie would have increased Democratic turnout and done better with independents, but I just don't see anyone willing to vote for trump being willing to vote for Sanders. Are there any circumstances under which you'd have been willing to vote for Trump?

Bernie *might* have beaten Trump, but I suspect that most of that 38% would have seen him as a white Obama, and I doubt that very many -- if any -- were hankering for another 4 years of *that* dog and pony show.

My only problem with Bernie was that he would have been horrible for the economy. But I would have been fine with a Bernie victory if it was him vs Trump. It just would mean more free handouts at the expense of the rich and a higher debt wall.

Trump was the overall balanced candidate. Very blunt/outgoing but he's harmless compared to what people say about him. Bernie was extreme left, while Hillary was alright until she started promoting the media's misinformation. You can only attack a candidate so much with the same disproven/out-of-context comments (which is silly since the ones that are valid should have been enough to go on) before it starts working in their favor instead of yours. She should have said less. Obama would have obliterated Trump if they were both running for a first term together.

But I'm very satisfied with the results. Mexico, get your wallets ready. A wall needs paying for. Jajajajaja huehuehuehue ( ͡⌐■ ͜ʖ ͡■)

I work for a small business that without me 70 other people would not have a job anymore. We cannot afford health insurance for our workers, myself included. These past few months I worked 80 hours a week. Tell me how I'm laxy and don't contribute and don't deserve my MinnesotaCare health insurance.

[edit] Also, thanks to the affordable care act your health insurance has more coverage than it would have before with the elimination of pre-existing conditions clauses, and if you're a woman that coverage is expanded even further. The costs went up so much because of the republicans killing the sources of subsidizing the insurance like the Medical Devices tax. There's still a lot that needs to be fixed with it, and could be fixed completely if there were a single payer option, things like how the same insurance in one area can be 1000% more expensive in another zip code, but that blame goes on the private companies, not the heart of the law.
No one said you or any specific person is lazy. People living off the government dime who contribute to the system are great. Everyone leeching off the system without being productive members or society... They are lazy. And don't try to deny these exist because "it's not me". Of course it isn't you. You do a great job at your work and provide for your kids. I do too. Hard working people are always in the minority because it's not as easy as doing nothing.

You know what's fucked up? Ron Paul would have done most of what Obama promised to do but never did, and a lot of what he should have done but never even considered doing, but all the Democrats saw was a Republican that wanted to take away their abortion and welfare rights. And they'll tell you with a straight face that they're anti-war and anti-racist. o.O

I'll tell you what lazy is: lazy is trotting out old, worn out canards consisting of logical fallacy, with a tiny bit of truth mixed in to make it sweet and tasty.

Just because you suck that shit down doesn't mean that it's true.

The law varies state-by-state (and possibly even by-county or city).

Some states you can be declared in any party and yet vote for anyone in any other party - including mixed votes (some of this party, some of that party).

Other places, you need to be declared in the party of your choice - and then can vote that ticket only.

Other places, you need to be declared to a party, but can then request a ballot of whatever party - and then are limited to voting for whomever appears on that party-specific ballot (even though not necessarily your declared party's ballot).

I'm sure there or other variations as well.
Hmm, just sharing this, may or may not be helpful, but here goes, Dont Panic.
Heil Trump?

Excellent mix, thanks for sharing! I also noticed he had done several others with a catchy tune :)
