Fast as always. Enjoy the games y'all! I'll read some recommendated books after finishing malazam series, which could take a while.
Thank you, BeatriceElysia. Both for cool game Cosmic Star Heroine and great opportunity to learn more about outstanding works in fantasy genre.

Hope you like CSH as much as I do.
Many thanks!!
You're too kind... May the gods (or a grateful me) repay you soon for your generosity :)

I hope you enjoy some good reading with all these valuable recommendations.
Congratulations to all the winners!
Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to BeatriceElysia for making this giveaway. I hope some people got some ideas for something new to read too :)
Thank you very much for your generosity! As information for everyone else, I got gifted Quest for Infamy, which immediately makes me think back to the good old King's Quest days. Looking forward to seeing if this successfully carries over that magic. Also congratulations to the other winners!

So now I'm curious, BeatriceElysia, what are your thoughts on the many recommendations you got? (M)any you knew already? Any that you will now definitely go track down?

Good questions there at the end :)

About QfI, see that there's still the matter of v. 2.0 maybe finally being released. They seem to still be looking for beta testers at the moment, see here, and here.
Oh, and among other bugs, according to this and this, Linux version is unwinnable without sending the save to the dev for an edit, just in case you'd have wanted to play on that. Maybe 2.0 will fix that too.

I knew many and gave up on some. But I will definiely read some of them since I put them on wishlist, like Witcher books or Wizard of Earthsea or Celia S. Friedman's books.
Congrats to the winners and good reading !

I truly hope you enjoy A Wizard of Earthsea. :)

Also, Congratulations to the winners! ^_^
Wizard of Earthsea is great, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Would love to hear your thoughts on the other books once you get to them as well.

Thanks for the game, and congrats to all the other winners as well!

Oh, bother. >.< Yes, I play on Linux exclusively.
How much play time in the game before you hit that point?

All I know is what it says on those threads, I've just been waiting for 2.0 ever since I got it otherwise. Lin545 was saying 19 hours there, but from what I gather from tknp's post it's the end of act 1, and How Long to Beat lists 19h as the average time for the whole game (from very little data though). There is this bit though, "If you want to get by this section yourself you can load the save game in windows or have a friend do it, then go through to act 2 and transfer the save back to linux. The save files seem to be compatible between the platforms.", if you have a Win install (or VM?) you can use.

Speaking of 2.0, according to the changelog posted on Steam, sure looks like difficulty will get quite a spike, especially with blocking no longer healing except on easy, plus all those enemy HP hikes and better enforced skill caps and training limits.
