Which cool games can you buy on GOG which aren't being sold on Steam?
Just wondering.
I certainly don't know all of them, but I would guess these are a pretty good start, considering GOG acquired the publishing rights for them.
List of GOG games that aren't available in Steam
List of Games on GOG that are not on Steam

There were more threads like these, but I can't find the one I remember from last year; sadly, the GOG forum search is terrible for this.
Cool thanks.
It'd be nice to see some more old school fps games on here, there's a few on Steam but a lot of them haven't been adjusted to work on Windows 10 all that well or require a lot of messing around to get them working.
If they were on GOG i'd assume they would fix any problems the games have.

Just curious: do you only want to buy games on GOG that aren't on Steam because you want as many games as possible all in one place on Steam?

No offense, but if you think so highly about GOG... why are you still giving your money to $team? o_O'

If you want GOG to succeed and have more content you should consider buying more than just the games that "aren't being sold on Steam", you know? =\

Ok, but...why only "exclusives" though? My point is you should be buying everything through GOG. That way they'll be able to make better deals in the future (with Publishers) to bring more modern games into the platform and kick $team where it belongs in the process. >:)

If people keeps buying only the "small & forgotten" games through GOG and the "new, big & expensive" titles through $team this marketplace (GOG) is going to remain forever as a "minor" one. And for all the good these guys have done over the years they deserve to be the #1 spot for buying games IMHO.

So please consider changing your buying habits and start doing ALL your gaming shopping exclusively through GOG. ;)

Have a nice day.

There isnt enough room in this thread... and its been discussed ad nauseam elsewhere on the forum. But the biggest ones for me, ongoing Dev support in the form of reasonably timed patches, player base, and mod ecosystem. Personally, i think very highly of GOG in general but for at least the above, they dont hold a candle to Steam. Essentially, if those are important to you, GOG leaves you no choice but to go to Steam be it a result of something they can control or not. Fair or not, sometimes it pays to be first and biggest.

All of those would be different if people just stop supporting $team and start doing ALL of their purchases through GOG instead.
Devs are not going to be more inclined to support GOG's releases if 90% of their player base is buying through $team. It's a no brainer.
Player base is tied to everything else. So...yeah.
And Mod support is a game-specific feature. You don't have Mod support for games without Mod support on $team. The games that have Mods...are the ones that already have Mod support. LOL

Bottom line is all of your complaints are not going to change in the future unless GOG receives the support they deserve. It's a cause & effect kind of deal:
more people ditches $team and buys through GOG = more "power" to GOG to force Publishers & Devs to treat its users better
less people buying exclusively through GOG and more through $team = less can GOG negotiate with Pubs & Devs

A revolution needs sacrifices, my man. And ofc the first pioneers are going to suffer more...but that's the price you pay for making a radical change happen! ;)
I am just here to play games and waste time.

This is the reason I stopped buying games on GOG that I can find cheaper on Steam.
