Vulkan is trying to be an OpenGL replacement. It's basically a graphics renderer that offers high performance and low CPU usage.

Though, I honestly don't understand what I'm voting for exactly. It's the game devs who have to decide whether or not they want to use Vulkan. What exactly are you asking GOG to do OP?

What are we voting on? Yes, Vulkan is the next generation of OpenGl, and perhaps in the future some games will take advantage of it, so what are we voting for at the moment? Maybe for GOG to rip out the renders of their games and replace them with a new one built for Vulkan. Its not clear to me what you want?

Sorry for not being specific. The vote is for CD Projekt to realize spectacular potential of Vulcan API which is an open API as oppose to closed Microsoft API Direct X12.

For me as for many other people; we will not upgrade to a closed ecosystem which is Windows 10 spyware OS.
Windows 10 went down the toilet and there's no return after what they have done. Examples are: Windows 10 games only and explicitly denying your right to privacy, poking in your hardware that you've purchased. It's disgusting!

I cannot wait for the Witcher 3 made for Ubuntu running on Vulcan!! WOOO-HOOO. CDPR make our dreams come true! <3
