Oldest song I have in my collection is probably O Tannenbaum or Greensleeves, followed by baroque stuff, but those aren't the original recordings, so they probably don't count.

GOG ate my response, so I can't be bothered to find the youtube links again, but I encourage you to!

1940s - Vaughn Monroe (Riders in the Sky), Frankie Lane (Mule Train)

1950s- Lots of Homer & Jethro stuff ("Over the Rainbow", "Battle of Kookamunga", (Don't Telephone, Don't Telegraph), Tell a Woman, etc.), Johnny Horton (Sink the Bismarck), Marty Robbins (El Paso), Tony Bennett (Anything Goes. Know it from the 1930s version by Cole Porter, and the chinese version sung in Temple of Doom, but I like this one best), Tennessee Ernie Ford (Mule Train), Buddy Holly ("You've Got Love, Heartbeat, It Doesn't Matter Anymore").

Moving to the 1960s, where stuff starts getting a little denser and varied-
Ben E. King (Stand By Me), Connie Francis (Follow the Boys), The Pentangle (Hunting Song), a whole lot of Beatles songs that everyone knows, a lot of the Beegees' pre-disco stuff, even..uggh...Bob Dylan (The Times They Are a-Changin').

From the 70s-
Some Pink Floyd I guess (again, which everyone knows), Gerry Rafferty ("Baker Street" and "Right Down the Line" from City to City), Uriah Heep (Lady in Black), Jethro Tull (Thick as a Brick), Camel (Lady Fantasy), Gentle Giant ("Free Hand", "On Reflection"), Mike Oldfield (Tubular Bells), Ivor Biggun (I'm a Wanker), John Denver (Annie's Song), Sweet (Wig-Wam Bam, Fox on the Run), Squeeze (Up the Junction, Tempted, Black Coffee in Bed, Hourglass- although some of these run into the 80s), loads of stuff by Electric Light Orchestra (highlights being "Confusion", "Last Train to London" and "Rock 'n' Roll Is King", although that last one again goes into the 80s).

Loads of music I listen to and enjoy from the 80s, but I'm not sure a lot of it can be said to hit me the way some of the earlier songs I've mentioned. Exceptions are- Everything by Weird Al, Bruce Hornsby (The Way it Is), George Winston (Moon), David & David (Welcome to the Boomtown), Dire Straits ("Brothers in Arms", "So Far Away"), the Scorpions ("Winds of Change", "Rock You Like a Hurrican"), Starship ("Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now), Marvin Gaye (Sexual Healing).

I'll leave out the 90s, because even though there's loads of (generally bad :D) music I'm nostalgic for from that decade, I'm not sure it counts as "old" (I hope!).

BillyMaysFan59: Just like Good Old Games, there's Good Old Music too. What are your favorite old songs, preferably from the 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's? Post 'em here!

I'll do so momentarily. ;)
Can't get as old school as this:

That kind of music just never gets old. It sure sounds dated but the music itself is just wonderful.

As an old fool that i am, i keep around and have taken a liking, to some unexpectedly old, relics, of the faraway distant past. Mostly disco stuff, like ABBA and Boney M.

My number one, all time round, is "Rasputin". Not only because of disco and boney m. I have some certain interests and amateur field researches for personal interest, as a hobby and certain historical figures are key among them. Here:

And RIP for that crazy dancer, died few years ago, if memory serves. I also like pretty much any and all of their songs.

ABBA, too, is considered GOM for me.
What about Good Ole Socks? GOG could start selling socks, in particular retro styled socks that sock companies don't make anymore. It'd be cool if they also started selling ST-506 hard disks again too as Good Old Disks (GOD.com) to truly have the best retro gaming experience, while wearing socks from the 80s that they sold you from GOS.com

Seriously, it's practically a no-brainer that they should do this, the profit potential is so obvious.
