After years of kicking the idea around, I tried my hand at creating a GOGmix that lists games inspired by Ufology. Games on this list therefore include content ranging from "grey" aliens or "little green men," to flying saucers, alien abduction, and other such phenomena indicative of UFO culture.

Grey Aliens, Close Encounters, and UFOs

If you're interested in games with this sort of theme, I would definitely appreciate votes to increase the visibility of this GOGmix. Otherwise, I'm always looking for more submission ideas to expand the list of games in this GOGmix and cover any missing content related to contemporary alien mythos.

Gave you a +1 on the mix. You might want to add Crysis to it as well (and maybe Dead Space, although not sure if you're looking to add actual space games, as there are tons and most have aliens as well, so that could make your list unwieldy).

Does Maniac Mansion count? It's been a while. I know it mentions space but is that where the Tentacle is from?

Hmm... I'm not sure Day of the Tentacle or Maniac Mansion necessarily fit this list. I'm trying to keep things more in line with the mythos of grey aliens, UFOs, and other such artifacts of UFO culture.

No problem! I appreciate the enthusiasm. I loved the X-Files when I was a kid, so I always look for aliens and other weird stuff in the games I play. :)

Little Big Adventure 2 has flying saucers and bald, large headed aliens.

Space Quest has some flying saucer style craft and a holographic, grey-like alien head.

Saints Row IV has flying saucer style craft, the Zin slightly resemble grey aliens (if they were taller and more muscular) and the game features an abduction gun.

Serious Sam had a large flying saucer at the end into which Sam is voluntarily beamed aboard and the big head members of Croteam, which look a bit like grey aliens.
