Vendor-Lazarus: Use it to your advantage, and remember that it's almost three times as fast as me, next time you hit your cap.
It would also depend on the size of your allowed data though..Mine is 20gb. ,)
Though I will get a much fast internet soon (TM)..As fast as 10000mbps ..That's 10gbps.
*edit* 10gbps, without any sort of cap either.
Maighstir: Now, just make sure you get a network card -and other network gear- that can take advantage of it. You don't want to be limited by your router or a switch. Also, make sure your storage can handle it if you're downloading stuff - a SATA SSD will NOT be able to keep up, even many NVME drives may not be able to. You may need RAID0 or similar even with NVME unless you like your network connection to be bottlenecked by your storage (I wouldn't mind having that problem though). Still, it's good advice. I haven't moved away from HDD to SSD so that's no problem yet. External drives are a boon.
I will make sure my next computer includes what I need. And always make sure to check the PSU too.
