If GOG deletes your account, you will lose access to your games and this forum. If you can't handle people bullying you by down reping you, I suggest you stop posting until GOG does something. Because with every new post, you give these people more opportunities to attack your rep. It's probably not an acceptable solution for you to this problem but I think it is better than having your account deleted? But if you decide to stick with this decision then I will miss you. And I will wish you the best. You have also changed my mind about this forum. Now that I see, people wanting to delete their GOG account because of it, I'm starting to think this Wild West like forum isn't the best environment for everyone, after all. I'm starting to realize, some people are just too sensitive for such an environment so I think GOG needs to do something to make the environment less hostile. Because if GOG doesn't do something, then this forum will lose a lot of good people.

Talking of some new developments I noticed in the last months. Back then personal attacks and insulting redundancies happened, but they were a really rare, very rare sight. It seems with the growth of the GOG customer base the "shut up you whiner", " you motherf*cker", "you b*tch", l2p-faction has arrived.

What's wrong with the rep system? I myself like it very much. First of all, being down-repped is a real joy, a thorough little entertainment and a whole minigame, in and by itself! You get to guess WHO did it, WHY they did it and you even get amused in the process, just because someone was pissed or butt hurt from something you posted, they don't agree with and they express that by downvoting; like crying "MOMMY, some big bad uncle says mean things online again!"! I find that very refreshing! And just because you don't like a webpage feature, doesn't mean that others don't, or that the people inventing and implementing it should reconsider and have it withdrawn!

You are also wrong on at least that account. Giveaways are NOT buying rep. I 've done a couple myself, and noticed that around the time i did my last 2 ones, my reputation dropped right after, for almost 10 points roughly at the time of each one. If what you said was true, i would now be in roughly 320 rep. And finally, this is but a number. It means nothing. Either it, or the stars. Doesn't change anything about me, you or any other... Numbers don't judge people, especially online and all.

Ah and i forgot. Helping others is a BIG mistake. Certain people made me bitterly regret it in real life. Why online life should be any different? Hell, i mean, i even tried to list Darksiders bugs for example, present them, analyze them, even offer workaround analysis too and i was downvoted even for that! Don't blame others, son! My advice 4 those who somehow value their rep is simply 2 lay low 4 awhile. When they hv enough 'fun' they will eventually stop but if they still carry on maybe cos they either hv a lack of life outside the forum or just plain boredom just ignore them. Getting upset only feeds them more & makes them happy they achieve their aim. ;)

Lastly, I wld like 2 applaud those who stand up 4 those who were bullied or dare 2 spk up against the majority the cos it's very likely u'll be downvoted 4 going against their views. I personally feel the downvote button is not meant 2 be a 'weapon' 2 be used against the minority just cos they dun agree with the majority but rather as a tool 2 discourage scammers & trolls fr posting in the forum. If any1 is not happy with wat another post they r welcome 2 say so or they can also always choose not 2 read them.

The only thing I feel needs tweaking is a way 2 prevent scammers or trolls fr making this forum an unhappy experience 4 the many wonderful GOGers we hv in this community but that is something GOG needs 2 wk out & not anything that we r able 2 do. Fixing the chat system back to being able 2 blk individuals fr spamming/harassing others wld be a gd start.
