Selling handicapped SINGLEPLAYER games is the last straw! DOWN WITH GAMES AS SERVICE. GOG has to prove to be better than the competition, and they are doing a poor job!
With Hitman #1 on the bestselling section I think the consumers are not getting the message.

Does that even keep track of refunds tho? I kinda doubt it.

No kidding, I've seen people asking developers and publishers to put games like RuneScape, Genshin Impact, and Final Fantasy XIV on GOG. I wonder what some of these people think GOG really does. But, as long as consumers keep buying GaaS games on Ubisoft, Origin, Steam, or Epic today, that has ramifications on the development of games tomorrow.

not much we can do , they want gog to be just another steam
I think we, the ones stating our disappointment, are nothing but a minor nuisance.
I'm not saying, let's stop, but I don't see gog doing something against the DRM.

If the majority of people don't care about, and I stress, SINGLEPLAYER CONTENT being provided as an ONLINE service, then there is nothing left here. What sets GOG apart from EGS or Steam? Steam is an objective winner on almost all fronts. While I am a galaxy user, I still value the ability to play offline and without any internet connection, and that was the main selling point for me. Not to mention that a lot of games get second-class treatment on GOG...

Snowslinger: GoGers, keep making noise!
That wouldn't work unless, perhaps, it is done indefinitely & forever.

But judging by the Devotion debacle, most GoGers don't have enough fortitude and persistence to do that.

Instead, most likely, they will complain hard for a week or two or three, and then never bother to talk about the issue ever again, just like they did with Devotion.

Accordingly, GOG's strategy to let the controversy blow over, by completely ignoring it, will work again, just like it did with Devotion.

I dont think a lot of cutomers think much about DRM anymore. They also are very short sighted as when the servers (not an if) goes down then they wont get those items in hitman or anyother bonus tied to online accounts.

Sadly this is gaming now where we do not get everything offline there is always something kept online. God i miss the old days when you bought a disk or a cassete and you had the game on it and nothing was hidden.

But if you have the offline installers you can make backups if you wish, do you remember Dotemu, Desura or other online stores? Epic loses tons of money, until when? What´s up if they close? Gog is a "small" shop, if i buy a game i want my drm free installer to play when and where i want, without online required to singleplayer.

A summer i installed dozens of my steam games to play outside my house without internet, and when the day arrived... bump, it was not possible to connect to my account and hadn´t internet to validate my pass and guard mobile. Never more.

I'm done wasting energy on this issue. I won't buy the game until they sort this whole ordeal out and probably won't make any purchases on GOG in the near future but besides voting with your wallet, there isn't much more to do. Our dissatisfaction has been heard loud and clear.

Well, there is still the difference of not having any third party DRM installed with the game, although if you don't get the full game as a DRM-free download, I guess the difference is quite academic at that point.

But I guess most people really don't care that much. If you keep reading what people are asking all the time, it's stuff like Galaxy achievements, which are online features, and based on Steam documentation, achievements are additional forms of DRM.

Avoid this garbage and spam the support, preferably with a bot to make the disruption even greater.
