With the release of Cyberpunk 2077 coming on November 19th, our offer becomes even better. We're excited to reveal the exclusive digital comic that will be available for everyone who buys the game on GOG.COM.

Cyberpunk 2077: Big City Dreams is a 50-page digital comic about TASHA and MIREK, two scavengers living in Night City. They’re stealing cyberware and spending money on parties and braindances.

TASHA is the loud one, she needs constant changes around her to breathe and she wants more street cred to become the most famous gangster in the city. MIREK is the calm one, he likes what he has and he doesn’t need much but he knows that Night City kills anyone who believes in the status quo.

You run, you fight, you change or you’ll die… One day MIREK finds a braindance about a happy family and sees a chance for himself. The problem is, MIREK’s dream doesn’t compute with TASHA’s dream of becoming a famous gangster…

This unique story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 comes from talented artists that include:

Bartosz Sztybor (Script)
Narrative Manager at CD PROJEKT RED, writer of comics for Dark Horse Comics, Boom! Studios, Paquet, Sarbacane, and Ankama.

Roman Titov (Colors)

Krzysztof Ostrowski (Colors)

Dray2k: Nice, I've heard about this totally unknown and completly unhyped game before! Gonna pick this game up on Steam I guess :P!
Now this is more sarcastic . :p

Nothing wrong with that as long as its this obvious.

But honestly I'm excited about Cyberpunk 2077. Gonna spend a whole long time just driving around, doing nothing else than just enjoying the atmosphere. And I'm probably not the only one who will do just that.

Yeah but when I initially typed the sarcastic sentence out since I was intending it to be really sarcastic about it.

And people know that I like GOG well enough so I don't take offence so just for the protocol your joke has been obviously noticed and I smiled because of it :>!
Great! Thank you!!

Goodies are nice, and all, but I don't like this sort of "exclusive" content.
I think all Cyberpunk 2077 buyers should get this comic, wherever they buy the game.

I only come to GOG, as my store of choice, because it's the only place where I don't have to use a crappy store client.

I get all my games from GOG, because I get the offline installer.
The only reason I ever pre-ordered any game, is as a personal thank you to GOG, for not forcing their crappy store client (Galaxy) on me, as other stores force their own crappy store clients on me (Steam, Epic, Origin, Uplay, …).

Still I've only ever pre-ordered two games, both on the day they became available.
I wasn't "Hyped" for either of them, I get hyped for games after release, not before.
Witcher 3, which turned out OK, and I got very hyped once I could play it.
Cyberpunk 2077, which I'm still not hyped for, but I can't play it yet.

To repeat, I only need an offline installer to choose the GOG release of every game, so let all buyers have the comic.
If it must be exclusive make it a "timed" one, give it to GOG users to read while installing the game.
Give it to the buyers forced to use any crappy store client, in the game files.
So they have to install the game first, and then they can read the conic.

GeraltOfRivia_PL: That way you could just preorder it on GOG, read the comic, refund it, then play the game on Steam. They are smart and they know people are sly dogs with no consience.
Didn't think of that. Yeah, you're right. And if they released it now to pre-order people, it would be posted in different sites and torrents in a matter of minutes.

Well, there's no pre-load info about the game so it might be we can't start the download on, say, 17th. And if I can only start the download on 19th, I hope I can download the comic book separately and read it while the game downloads. So maybe this is actually a good thing.

Nice :)
Not personally interested in this game but I did notice CP2077 shot up in the bestselling all-time chart since last I saw it, now just above Witcher 3 Wild Hunt (not the GotY Ed tho)

Where?

frogthroat: Where?
It's a "sort by" option in Games: https://www.gog.com/games?page=1&sort=bestselling

Last I knew, Bestselling (All Time) means copies of games sold since the release on GOG, whereas just Bestselling (aka Popular) means total amount of money spent on a game within a certain amount of time (like, 10 purchases of a $60 game will be higher than 25 purchases of a $5 game).

Ah, sorry, I was thinking of some 3rd party list that would include ... probably games like Mario, Tetris, Minecraft and those kind of things at the top. But the games sorting in the store. Got it. Thank you for clarifying.
Now THIS is an exclusive.

Pre-load is the 18th, says it right in your library.

The game is made by CDProjectRed (aka GOG), of course they're gonna have more goodies if you buy it directly from them.

Jarik12.3: Does this include keys from boxed versions or is it only available for users, who bought the game online at the store?
avatar
GeraltOfRivia_PL: Well after you redeem the code, the game gets added to your account. Presumably, there isn't even a physical disc included. So i would assume yes.
avatar
frogthroat: Respect.

I usually don't like preorders, because some companies add "goodies" for pre-orders that turn out to be little more than scams. Just to lure people to pre-order but add nothing of useful. The bonuses are often less than nothing. Bonus quests that are not even fetch quests, but visit-a-place quests. Or the worst looking skin/costume/item in the game. Even though those are bonuses, I still feel scammed every time.

I like this GOG approach that pre-order if you know you are definitely going to buy the game anyway, but everyone gets the same game, same goodies. I've decided to pre-order only from GOG from now on. Honesty is better than worthless pre-order bonuses.

...although I would not decline if those who pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077 would get to read the comic already while we wait for November 19th. I will most definitely not going to be reading a comic book on the 19th.

What would be the point of playing it on Steam? GoG makes the game (basically) and you still get it with the boxed copies. Plus we'll get the free upgrade to the enhanced edition that will come out in a few years anyway

I'm not a fan of exclusives in an capacity, but this might bring GOG to people people's attention.

shmerl: So, CP2077 is coming to Stadia on day one. Release it for proper desktop Linux please too! After going through all that trouble of adding the Vulkan renderer for Stadia and making it work on Linux anyway for it, not releasing it for desktop Linux users is just a shame.
There's no mention of Stadia in this announcement.
