KiNgBrAdLeY7: If i bother to count how many times Steam support delayed, provided me with TOTALLY irrelevant answers to my ticket and most importantly, that for ALL of my issues they 100% failed to provide me with a working solution for the game i needed each time (this is neither hyperbole, nor lie), then i say; "GOG is GOD".
And here I thought you weren't religious.

tinyE: I tried changing my user name to MexicanFaggot.

They ignored my requests.

jamyskis: Well, you could have asked to change it to MrBrainsFaggots and then claimed it was all a big misunderstanding.

(British users will get the joke)
You've been here since the beginning, you mist remember MexicanFaggot. :P

My favorite reply was "I can't imagine why you'd want to change that."

Mind explaining the joke? O_o
I think I've only had to contact GOG Support once in eight years. They were a bit slow on the uptake but I think it speaks volumes about the quality of the site on the whole and the absence of DRM (bearing in mind that every contact I've had with Steam Support has been regarding its convoluted subscription system and DRM problems).

Oh yes, I remember it well.

Well, if you google it, the first link proudly states "The home of Britain's best loved faggots."

It's a type of meatball.

But.. so they didn't change his username in the end..
It's great. Every issue I had was resolved gracefully.
Complaining thread N°50237821.

I feel like GOG support right now.

I wonder though, do I will get paid for having read the OP ?
Terrible, in January i've sent a ticket, was promised a solution and since February that they're purposely ignoring my emails.
I don't think I've ever had to contact Support about any "real" issues. Generally it has just been suggestions, and while it is annoying to constantly get the copy-paste "I'm afraid that I can't comment on any upcoming deals and releases (or lack thereof). I can only assure you that we're doing everything possible to get our hands on the best content possible" spiel, I can appreciate that GOG Support has more important things to worry about.

What is the problem? If you sent a ticket about rabbits tearing up your rose bushes, I can't really blame them for ignoring you.

Cant even compare honestly... I sent a steam ticket in my own language and they respond back in english. Also, refunds are all handled by a robot. We could say we were scammed, robbed and what not. Its always a robot answering and literally there is no live support on steam. Its all automated. Steam doesnt has a support platform at all.

Told them to clean up their room, they said "YES MOOOOOOOM" but then run away to play Playstation over at Billy's house. Three months since i saw them, tsk tsk...

SkyExplorer: possibly what happened in my situation?
Yours is an old account (December of 2013) that had little to no activity, that suddenly wishes to change the display name. That does usually trigger a "possibly compromised account" flag, thus why GOG asks for a bit of confirmation.
