HunchBluntley: What commitment? What promise? Reading the post Cyraxpt linked to, Ciris says nothing more than that she would TRY to get such a thing set up at some indeterminate point "in the future [...] not too far off." She only used those terms -- no promise, no mention of a definite timeframe. Or did she do this in a different post?
Don't be obtuse, six months was more than enough to gather a small group to discuss the forum problems, if it hasn't happen yet it's because they don't care and don't intend to do it.

Ciris: The plan is to also get the audio out in podcast locations like iTunes - so a regular podcast format is also in the plans! :)

Niggles: Can we request for a standalone download be made available WITHOUT having to use iTunes? iTunes is like Steam. Plenty dont want to install yet another piece of software (plenty dont use it for various reasons)
Indeed, GOG.com, set up an RSS or Atom feed on your own site and link to the audio/video file through the enclosure tag (or link in Atom) so that any pretty much any RSS reader can handle it.

Then again, maybe you shouldn't, seeing how your RSS feeds look now.

Or because they are all horrendously busy and it's not a big priority and it's hard to get everyone together and.... Plus, Ciris is just the social media wrangler -- I don't imagine she can make any of the other personnel do anything if they can't/don't want to. In short, don't blame her. But my point was that there was no promise, and your implying otherwise was disingenuous (and the way in which you did it was uncalled-for).
Anyway, they're probably not exactly champing at the bit to get everyone together just to field abusive "questions" from rude, entitled "fans". -_-
GOG should add a feature to this podcast idea by having occasional forum member round-table chats. The conversation topics alone... makes me giddy.

Yeah, "rude" questions like "what are you going to about the spammers that have taken over the forum?", "are you ever going to fix the account log in/sign in bug?" and "are you doing anything to stop the recent wave of account hijacks?". In case you've forgotten, each of those was an issue that lasted for weeks at a time, GOG publicly ignored of them until the "rude", entitled "fans" raised enough of a stink that GOG had to have someone comment on them.

Anyway, a podcast? I don't listen to podcasts just like I don't watch streams but good luck with that. Hopefully it'll bring some more people here so we can get some more AAA games.

A GOG staff Q&A isn't out of the question - but only when we're 100% sure of the stuff we're sharing. We'd love to implement and release a LOT of things, but only so many of them have a positively steady timeline and the approval of everyone involved to talk about it publicly (especially releases). :)
As I've said before GOG should really think about adding a goodies section to the site with wallpapers, avatars, ect that focus on GOG. This could be something else that is added right on the site for people that don't use iTunes or whatever, upload the podcast as a video and audio file in the MP3/ MP4 format, etc and allow us to download them here.

So, how was it? Good? Fun? Podcasters seem to have good time? I know they all do a bang up job with the Let's Play type stuff I've watched but this is more of a roundtable chat session yes?

PainOfSalvation: We know that Ciris but you guys need to give us "something" from time to time to tickle our imagination. :D
I would accept tickling elsewhere than my imagination. hey, I'm trying to be a team player, here!

Lol, busy to the point that they can't spare 1 hour in 6 months? Really? You trully believe that?

Yes, i blame her and it's not uncalled for, she did make a promise and that was not the first one, she also was the one that contacted me about the asshole that has been plaguing the forum for 9 months asking me for information, when i gave it she promised a solution (later we found out it was a simple chat block, it doesn't solve a thing) and she ignored me when i was asking for more information or solutions, now that is rude.

Abusive questions from entitled fans? How about they actually taking care of their own forum? Do you know that you can make a new account in less than 15 seconds? No real email required, now guess how that is being abused.
Just because it doesn't affects you (because honestly i don't remember seeing you in this forum in the last months) doesn't mean that it can be ignored by gog. A piece of shit is stealing from good people and what does gog do? Nothing. Oh wait, they actually help him by changing his nickname.

But you know what is funny? I've (and other people) been a customer/member of gog since 2011 but i can't post links because the anti bot system prevents me from it. How doe that work? Well, it requires a certain amount of rep to post links and look real close to my rep... uhm... how will i reach the rep required when a useless piece of shit that doesn't have a life keeps downvoting me almost daily, explain that to me.
But you know what is even more funny? The bots keep spamming the forum and it's the COMMUNITY that deletes the spam. Uhmmmmm....

Yeah, "poor" Ciri and "poor" gog, screw those people that are harassed by a single retard that takes advantage of an outdated system full of flaws, screw them for asking for some COMMUNICATION while being ignored by the staff.
I remember doing the proto-GOGcast years ago.

PaterAlf: So far it's pretty bad. They have serious technical problems. I can hardly understand anything that Outstar and Megapieman are saying.
There were some problems with connection at first (we used Zoom to talk to each other) and we're going to test Co-optional way next time with ol' good Skype.

Thing is, we all recorded our audio separately so it should sound good in edited version that SJ is preparing. :)
So who's gonna "vocalize" the podcasts?
Gotta be someone with a strong vocal presence, I guess ;D
I'm curious!
