Painted_Doll: Looks like Gog only concentrates on fancy things and forget about the forum issues .
I can assure you that no member of the StreamTeam does forum programming for GOG, so no resources have been taken away to do the GOGcast.

Ciris: The plan is to also get the audio out in podcast locations like iTunes - so a regular podcast format is also in the plans! :)
Looking forward to it!

No resources have been allocated to fixing the forum issues either ;-p

Ciris: A GOG staff Q&A isn't out of the question - but only when we're 100% sure of the stuff we're sharing.
Oh... Really?

LSKone: So since this is called gogcast, will this be availabe on itunes or <insert random podcast app here> too? (audio only)
That would be great. I normally listen to podcasts while doing sports and so an audio version makes much more sense for me.

Gandos: This news reminded me of just how much of a shame it is that EnigmaticT is no longer with GOG. He was THE voice of the site. =(
I was thinking the same thing. Sounds like an extended version of "This Week On GOG". Good times, good times...

Those were the days. :'( If only this podcast idea had come up earlier...

I listen to a lot of gaming podcasts, but none of them are produced by companies with vested interests. How is GOGcast going to deal with potential criticisms of the GOG service, games therein, and other conflicts of interest?
Only per Twitch and Youtube? I 'd prefer a "normal" podcast: mp3, so put it in my player so I can listen while driving, waiting, working, sleeping ... :)

PS: I'm old school, NO Shmup-Phone/Tablet crap here!

DRM-free download would seem natural...

This is in the works :-) Watch this space :-)

amok: Didn't you already have this? Or did it get killed when ET left.
He never really left, you know. He is right here... *pokes amok in his right eye with a glowing fingertip*

Oops, sorry about that. I recently tried to perform my own laser eye surgery...

Neat idea but not really interesting to me, unless the folks somehow got execs like EA's, Activision's, etc. on the podcast to announce they were finally bringing more games here. :-P

And yes, there should be DRM-free downloads in an archive somewhere.

Ciris: A GOG staff Q&A isn't out of the question - but only when we're 100% sure of the stuff we're sharing. We'd love to implement and release a LOT of things, but only so many of them have a positively steady timeline and the approval of everyone involved to talk about it publicly (especially releases). :)
We know that Ciris but you guys need to give us "something" from time to time to tickle our imagination. :D
